Midnight at The Meeting Place
As we announced last week, Midnight's next party is this Saturday, May 18. The latest additions to the lineup are DJ Retrofit (of Red This Ever), who'll be spinning with C1TZN.X (making his D.C. debut) and the always popular Vampkat; and a gothic yard sale by DJ Pharoah and Angel. IN THE DJ BOOTH
We're very pleased to have DJ Retrofit--aka Roy from everyone's favorite D.C./Baltimore synthpop band Red This Ever (http://www.redthisever.net) spinning for us again this month. With him, Vampkat, and C1TZN.X behind the decks, you can definitely count on a night of great dancing music!
...AND THE VENDORS CORNER
Over in the usual vendors corner you'll find a gothic yard sale hosted by DJ Pharaoh and Arsonist Angel (it's also her Welcome to D.C. party). Think bracelets, other jewelry, and the usual "little pieces of this, and that" you typically find at a GYS. As always, for the best bargains, be sure to arrive early.
FROM THE BAR AND KITCHEN
The Meeting Place's two-for-one drinks deal is in effect from 9:00 to 10:00 p.m. on the 18th. Buy one qualifying beverage at the full/regular price during that hour, and you're entitled to a second of the same free any time prior to last call (around 2:45 a.m.). Then, from 10:00 to close, TMP discount offers include $5 for a Guinness, rum & Coke, or 16 oz. Bud draft; and $7 for a Jameson, Absolut Vodka, Jager shot, Jose Cuervo Silver Tequila, or Fireball Cinnamon Whisky shot. The kitchen remains open until 1:30 a.m., and two of its most requested platters--chicken wing and chicken tender--are on sale all night at $8. (All prices are plus tax.) And don't forget the $2 Black Death Shooters!

Shortly after 12:00 there'll be free cake to welcome Angel to Midnight, and in celebration of the b'days of Nakani, Cameron, Shauna, and Angie. * ADMISSION DEALS -- Our first dozen guests in line at opening always enter free; and anyone, student or staff, who shows their current school ID (must be 18) at the cash table saves $2 off the already low $5 cover all night.
