After a short hiatus from recording and a lengthy period of trial, error, and revision, and many regional live performances, Ego Likeness signed with Dancing Ferret Discs for the release of 2004s Water to the Dead. This album featured the bands electronic roots while exploring a bit of a heavier rock sound. Their first album Dragonfly was re-released on Dancing Ferret Discs in 2005, and 2006 saw the release of their third full-length CD 'The Order of the Reptile' (DFD), an album that brought together several of EL's past styles, including darkwave, trip-hop, and rock. Between 2007 and 2009, the band released a single, The Lowest Place on Earth and three of the four Compass EPs South, West, and North. Their fourth full-length, Breedless, was released in the spring of 2010 on Metropolis Records. The final Compass EP East is scheduled for release before the end of the year.
