"This is who we are" (Millennium).
"Klaato Barada Nikto." (Army of Darkness/The Day Earth Stood Still).
"Trust no one" (X-Files).
"Are you a good witch?""Or a bad witch?"
MARY ANN!
Oooook well first off...yes I'm old(LOL), recently divorced single mom with three children, ages 33,21,11...I like talking to anyone of any age that are different, true individuals, the "freaks" or "geeks", lovers of horror or interested in the supernatural, metal-heads or hard rockers, the rebels, and those who are just carazy!! Yea, my profile is long, but oh well I'm older and "I correlate too much of my mind's contents"(Douglas Clegg, "Purity"), and just plain wordy(as my professors would say),HAHA!
My awesome daughter Amanda, introduced me to VF!!!
I have a degree in marine biology...I'm currently "sometime substitute teacher" after escaping grad school, but who am I really???
I'M A "TRUE BELIEVER" (like Mulder) I believe in possibilities of existence, including vampires, werewolves/shape-shifters, ghosts, magic, witches/wicca(but not a practitioner), supernatural/paranormal/psychic ability, aliens/UFOs, mythical creatures(Nessie, Bigfoot), heaven/hell, reincarnation, past lives, afterlife, karma, nirvana, saints/sinners, angels/demons, good/evil, God, Jesus and Satan(& the antichrist). Legend is built upon reality.
Desiderata
Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant, they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love, for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is perennial as the grass.
Take kindly to the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful. Strive to be happy. Max Ehrmann c.1920
ME
Look younger and act younger than my true age, but inside feel old/Usually have friends younger than me.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer is my love and obsession.
My world is metal(hard rock-whatever)and ruled by supernatural beings/Uncomfortable in the real world/Can't relate to many others(esp. of my age).
Open-minded
Mystical/Spiritual
Philosophical/Truth-seeker
Complex
Sentimental(have saved too many things over the yrs)/Romantic
Keep to myself/Anti-social
Emotional/Passionate/Sensitive
Devoted to a fault
Introspective/Perceptive
Non-conformist/Spontaneous(may break out in song or dance at any given minute)/Impulsive
Logical thinker
Individualist/Unique
Not modest/The less clothes the better
Imaginative/A dreamer-live in my own fantasy world
Need a purpose in life
Perfectionist(but definitely not perfect)/ Obsessive-compulsive
I tend to be too serious, so I may use sarcastic humor or "tongue-in-cheek" humor to offset my emotional state or to lighten up the situation.
I cuss alot, especially f*ck or any form of, and have since the 70's(maybe it's just part of my personality).
Not good with socializing(better just one to one) and tend to feel like I have to be in a good mood to be around others. I only reveal myself to the best of friends or family(definitely not to strangers-this is my first attempt);felt much sadness and depression in the past and don't want to become some kind of emotional vampire.
I am a PARADOX/a CONUNDRUM.
Not much of a people person;more of a dog person(especially collies),haha.
I have rescued sea turtles and have been involved with rehabilitation, care, feeding and release of dolphins, including playing with a baby dolphin that was unable to be released, holding a beautiful spotted dolphin in my lap cause she couldn't swim, and watching dolphins released back to their homes in the ocean not in a tank!!!(amazing, huh?!).
THESE ARE SOME OF MY DOLPHINS:
I believe in an afterlife (duh!) - there is evidence all around: ghosts, spirits, lost souls, past lives, angels, miracles, and yes, Virginia - SCIENCE(many physicists know this for a fact)...energy cannot be destroyed, it only changes form!!! and humans are big vessels of energy. "FIRST LAW OF THERMODYNAMICS: The total amount of energy in the universe is constant; therefore it follows that the LAW OF CONSERVATION OF ENERGY states: Energy is neither created nor destroyed in ordinary chemical reactions and physical changes". Death is both a chemical reaction and physical change!!! Sooooo, boys and girls(not being condescending), what we have here is one example of proof positive from science itself; many branches of science now have reputable data confirming life after death!
I also believe in a creative force I call "God"(not the anthropomorphic God of fundamentalism), but a type of constant creation, guided evolution(unlike Darwin's incomplete theories), based on personal beliefs, knowledge, education and faith. {Soon I will be including a special journal entry of research I have found for all those skeptics out there with websites included}!
"Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind"-Albert Einstein! "I cannot believe God plays dice with the Cosmos."-Albert Einstein! "God not only plays dice, He sometimes throws the dice where they cannot be seen"-Stephen Hawking!
Since I was unable to finish grad school, I guess I will have to settle for my second choice in careers, paranormal investigator or cryptozoologist/xenobiologist or maybe Buddhist monk(got ya,haha-no really I do want to research the supernatural-I've been studying it since elementary school). Maybe I'm just impatient, which I am. Who really knows what happens next?; everything happens for a reason-serendipity! I would like to be Saint Michael the Archangel's helper on earth(like in the movie "Fallen").
"The Only Way To Conquer Evil Is To Know How It Works"(Gerald Danile Brittle, "The Demonologist").
I'm not gonna say much about my looks, cause I like some parts and not others-best features are my green eyes and my profile cause it's unique.
CHECK OUT MY DAUGHTER'S AWESOME PHOTOGRAPHY
You scored as Mermaid. Mermaid: Mermaids are also known as Sirens. These creatures were beautiful women who tricked sailors into becoming completely entranced by their haunting voices and found death soon after. Not all stories of Mermaids are about gentle loving sea people. They are mystical, magical, and extremely dangerous. They have a way about them that brings anyone they are around to seem enchanted. They are very mysterious creatures and to meet one... Would mean certain Death. Let the song of the Sea fill your soul, for you are a Mermaid.
My family, scuba diving, snorkeling, marine mammals, dolphins, whales, mermaids, swimming, diving, hiking, camping, caving, seashores and sea creatures, beachcombing, nighttime, horror movies and books, learning new things, movies!, books!, feeling groovy!!

Necromancy(no, not necrophilia)!
Demonic/spirit/twin soul possession(have read true accounts and as a fact the Catholic church has true life cases in their crypts-if you don't believe me, I have a brother who is a priest and he has read them).
Demonology (the science of studying demons in theology-not worshiping them!
Fantastical beings such as mermaids(mer people), faeries, dragons, nymphs, sorcerers, wizards, elves, pixies, centaurs, griffons, phoenix, unicorns, pegasus, Godzilla, Mothra, and other mystical creatures fascinate me. Also love dinosaurs(mystical in a way).
Scorpio is a water sign and I love, have to be around, water, the ocean, rivers, lakes, and have aquariums and fountains all over my house. Love to collect shells, anything from the beach, river rocks, and driftwood. Scuba is my fav activity and on my second dive ever-I even saw a wild manatee that came up close within touching distance(but as a marine biologist, I know it's illegal to touch marine mammals, but I really wanted to just reach out and hug him)! I think in another life I was from Atlantis.

Dislikes:
THINGS I ABHOR
DEATH***(and that my dad and sister died).
DIVORCE**(twice married...first for 9 yrs and recently after 21 yrs of marriage, it is over after my husband cheated and literally started living a double life!!)
Hypocrites, fakes, superficial people.
Lying/Dishonesty-if you lie to me that is worse than anything you might have done to me, but if you tell me the truth I might understand or give you a break, but lying is unforgivable(hate to use that word because forgiveness is necessary for any relationship and for yourself).
Reality shows(get a life*).
Pro sports and players.
Country music, rap, hip hop and pop turn me off.
Diamonds(not a girl's best friend) and gold.
ANIMAL CRUELTY - hunters(anyone that thinks it's fun to kill animals is sick*); People who wear fur, The meat industry for it's cruelty and it's gross (wish I had the will and the money to be vegan); Animal testing.
Labeling people, especially cause of their clothes, hair, body decorations, or music.
People with closed minds and religious fanatics.
People who hate children(they scare me)*
Porn and exploitation of the innocent.
Abusive macho a**holes.
Duplicity, backstabbers, sycophants.
Judgmental people(esp. those that hate because of how a person looks or their sexual preference).
Condescending and overly arrogant people or those who think they are better than everyone else(those "holier than thou types").
Stupidity, ignorance(and people who run off at the mouth when they know nothing about the subject).
Messiness, carelessness, inconsideration, apathy.
Littering, pollution, destruction of coral reefs or rainforests (or any sensitive environment), overfishing, overgrazing, poaching.
Taking advantage or hurting innocent people or animals, circuses, most zoos, captive marine mammals, making animals perform for entertainment.
PAIN(which I'm in most of the time), being sick so much, getting old.
Not being able to remember all the stuff I learned in college and not being able to finish grad school.
Rich conspicuous consumption by overly wealthy greedy motherf*ckers, materialistic people, and always having some catastrophe(especially at the worse times).
Rush is not only ***WRONG*** but his elevator doesn't go all the way to the top (and I'm being nice).
Family Guy(and the rest of "Adult Swim"-all you have to watch to see the insidious, perverse, skewed, insincere and pathetically unconcerned most people are when they find such things humorous.
Oh, and drugs are bad***
*Also hate censorship of music and book burning by puritanical crazies! I don't understand self mutilation and suicide(and I definitely have been depressed at times, but would never think of losing my life-it is a precious and fleeting thing). Doctors-lying arrogant egomaniacs. Noisy people at the movies(watch out I sting!)
I HATE ABORTION-it is wrong. There already are choices: birth control, adoption, or self control. I was a birth mom at 16 and support adoption(want to start a club called "Rockers for Life"). A child inside its mother is A PERSON, A HUMAN BEING, AN INDIVIDUAL. And no, I'm not being ignorant, I am a biologist and actually the more I learned the more I knew abortion was wrong. Many scientists agree with this(not just religious fundamentalists). Don't be fooled by famous people speaking for "CHOICE"(really who the hell do they think they are, not my role models). People just want to do whatever and not take consequences for their actions. And rape doesn't make it any less than a tiny human being(I was raped in my twenties, so I'm speaking from experience not ignorance)-(ok, off soap box)!!!
~*~Sadness surrounds us and unpleasant people come into our lives, but we must go on, seize the day, hour, minute-remember we have weapons: choice, free will, and serendipity!
I think I'm running off at the brain here. I'm not going to go down a list about my looks-how I don't like this or that-cause its boring and superficial.

Yeah, 3 deaths in 1 year sucked. My grandma died on July 4th and then my cousin died 15 days later I believe then police found my cousins brother dead in his buddy's house on December 30th.
Ok, long story short, you and I need to talk sometime. I was a marine bio/medicine major for 3 years (dropped out when I ran out of cash) but I love to talk with people with that background. Plus your interest in Cryptozoology/Paranormal phenomenon means that we could have a fun time chatting. Seriously, drop a line sometime, I would love to talk.
"Curse the day they invented the crematory, What a foolish waste of potential sales. It’s a damn shame to discard inventory Think outside the box if all else fails." Death is my business and business is good!"
I consider my self to be a flaming bundle of joy. I also have heard that to. It seems very logical that those would all be connected. Bipolar, ADHD and Anxiety Disorders are so similar that sometimes doctors don't know what some people have. Thank God have have all of them! LOL
