My specialties lie in mental disorders specifically bipolar and panic disorders, and personality disorders. Going from the book and on experience in my personal life, I've narrowed it down to these subjects. My favorite class in college was Abnormal Psychology I am also specialized in dealing with self harm issues such as cutting or drug abuse. People may even approach me for eating disorders, since I was anorexic in the last few years. That never goes away, but I have since recovered from a low BMI. Anything else, questions on my qualifications, things of that nature, please inbox me. I'd be happy to answer any questions.By profession, I am a trained paramedic by day who handles a variety of medical cases inclusive of injuries, illnesses and personal issues in addition to 2 years of experience in the military as a combat medic where I was stationed both out in the field and in the medical centre. My interest in psychological issues first started in school when my own best friend suffered from depression and I was just recovering from the same thing at that same point of time which made me sit up and realise that while I have issues, there are others out there who have similar problems yet the forms of help that they receive (shrinks and whatnot) tend to aggravate the situation simply because they underestimate the issue as "juvenile". Being in their shoes enabled me to be there for my friend and got her out of it, a beginning that led me to do something similar while in the army with military personnel facing personal issues and injury related trauma. While I am best at addressing depression and eating disorders, I am able to help out on other issues such as family, illness and relationships just to name a few. On a side note, those who are interested in literature/poetry and need help can come to me as well, a hobby that has allowed me to stay sane and explore my creative side, cheers (: I don't have any official training, persay, in my areas of expertise. I am a budding drug user/activist, and I do a lot of reading and research on the topic, as well as personal experience and experience of those I know. For relationships, I have not only my own and others' experience to draw from, I have taken workshops on the human mind and relationships, as well as studied psychology and "love" extensively on my own. All around, I am an endless well of advice. I do tend to ramble and rant sometimes, but I usually have a good point to make, and I will always listen and consider every side of your problem before offering advice. I enjoy helping people, and I have been told it's something I'm good at, so I have confidence in my abilities. Profile Coming Soon! | ![]() |
