Here at YaoiDreams, there are new ways to enjoy what is known as the typical RP experience. Here we encourage boy on boy love with team species. Once you are accepted, you shall choose the team you want to be apart of. From there, you will be locked into that team and shall be apart of your team like they are your family. There will be ways for you to earn points for your team: contests, tasks and inviting!
We ARE a 16+ cult, as we have very mature themes as members are given the ability to create their own subforums as rewards or by becoming VIP. Yet we aren't just a yaoi cult, we also have shonen-ai and all the other likes.
We are not just 'yaoi', we also have 'shōnen-ai' and all the likes..
For those who don't know; Yaoi is fictional media that focus on homoerotic or homoromantic male relationships, usually created by female authors. Originally referring to a specific type of dōjinshi parody of mainstream anime and manga works, yaoi came to be used as a generic term for female-oriented manga, anime, dating sims, novels and dōjinshi featuring homosexual male relationships. The main characters in BL usually conform to the formula of the seme who pursues the uke.
shōnen-ai is a Japanese terminology literally translated into "shōnen" = boy and "ai" which means love. It denotes male homosexuality, and, unlike its correspondent yaoi, shōnen-ai is used in regards to depictions of the romantic side of a relationship between two males.
Often, shōnen-ai is associated with fluffy, cute, and cuddly relationships - but the term is not completely restricted to such descriptions. Occasionally, an author will turn out a darker portrayal of a relationship between two guys and use the term "shōnen-ai" as a forewarning that romantic relations between the two should be expected, but there will be very little (if at all) explicit sexual interactions. Unless specifically stated otherwise.
shōnen-ai also corresponds with the term "slash" which has less of an emphasis on whether or not the relationship between the characters involved is romantic or entirely sexual
