The focus of Unlimited Roleplay is the characters and stories each will undoubtedly tell. As the cult's name suggests, you are free to create whatever sort of world you wish. This means that you can create whatever types of story you'd like with any characters you want in it! You say what you want, and create it! We have diverse selection of members, so we can guarantee that you will find something that suits your tastes. If not, make a thread for it yourself.

Rules

001. All VF site rules apply.
002. No god-modding. PERIOD!
003. Staff word is law.
004. Follow proper RP etiquette.
005. Use proper grammar and spelling.
006. Outside drama stays outside.
007. Use our form for creating/responding to threads, or else your thread will be deleted.
008. Posting duplicates of threads is prohibited, unless mutiple people have asked to reserve the thread and you're remaking it for them.
009. Cult-wide clean outs of threads and members will take place regularly.
010. There is ZERO tolerance for trash-talking members/staff.

Staff have permission to deal with rule breakers in whichever way they see fit. Some may also be willing to make exceptions to some of these rules, so talk to us if you have issues with anything.

Thread Information

New Threads
When a thread is initially posted, it has a week to sit in the New Roleplays subforum for someone to claim it before we delete it from the cult. If your thread is claimed before that timespan is up, it will be moved into the appropriate subforum. This is simply so that the cult isn't bogged down with old threads, and to ensure that there is always something fresh and new at the top of the list for members.

Claimed Threads
Threads which have been claimed and moved to their respective subforum aren't under quite the same rulings as new ones are. If a claimed thread goes inactive, it has two weeks of sitting in the subforum before it is moved to our Orphaned Threads subforum. Once there, it has an additional two weeks for someone to post before it gets deleted. If the thread is posted in before this two week period is up, it will be moved back into its proper home. Otherwise, it will be deleted. Threads will not be deleted, however, if one of the participants in the roleplay has told us they will be inactive for any length of time and specified that their threads not be removed. If this is the case, the threads will be put into storage until the member(s) are back.

Other Thread Notes
We do not tolerate continual reposting of identical threads. The only exception to this rule is if you are reposting a thread because more than one member has expressed interest in doing the roleplay. If one of the staff notices duplicate threads which are not reserved or reposted with the intent of being such, they will be deleted on sight. Spamming the cult with the exact same thread is not making it any more likely that your thread will be taken, and creates unnecessary work for the staff who have to clean out the cult.

There has also been a continual issue with members using the setup and/or reply forms from other cults here. Just to make things clear, if you are missing any section from your thread that is listed on our form, it will be either deleted immediately or locked until you change things, depending on the staff member.. There will be no exceptions to this rule, and zero tolerance. Adding extra things to the form is encouraged, but leaving them out is not.

In regards to where your thread is moved to once claimed, this is up to the discretion of staff. They are given directions on how to deal with threads, and will not be swayed from these instructions. Unless a thread has been very obviously put in the wrong place (such as a fantasy thread involving completely adults going into the High School/Teen subfourm), it is not likely to be moved. The only time when this will happen is if your thread has gone into the Orphaned Threads or Storage subforums and has since become active once more.
