Imagine if history had gone just a little differently. In 1812 the first world war began, a simple conflict that snowballed until all of the major powers of the world at the time were involved. But it was the age of industry. New mechanisms for war were created and with the added need of warfare, technology and science advanced even more rapidly. Perhaps too rapidly. A secret allegiance resorted to biological warfare, poisoning England and several other countries. The disease spread throughout Europe and even throughout the world, but its affects weren’t what had been expected. The disease was presumed to be fatal, but many who were Infected survived… that is, if it could really be phrased that way. The Infected were medically dead, but still they lived, no longer human but something else. They were deemed monsters, demons. The infection spread rapidly.
With the damage and chaos already caused by the war and the biological outbreak, all thoughts of continuing the war were long gone, last on anyone’s mind. Governments and economies collapsed. Cities were destroyed and counties left with no law and no leaders. Many people were killed in the war, by the disease, or… by the diseased. The world was left in anarchy and disarray. The year is now 1879. Every day is constant fight for power or simply for one’s life. Factions fight amongst each other for power and humans fight against the Infected and the elements to remain alive and unchanged. The world is in shambles but slowly it’s being rebuilt.

Please make your first post in the Introduction thread. Do not post in any RP threads until you have received your usertitle and been told you may begin to role-play. In the meantime, you may post in the chatroom.
Please keep in mind that this role-play is set in the 1800’s. Any technology used must be steampunk, not blatantly modern.
Proofread your posts before you submit them and check for any errors in spelling and grammar. We expect you to have a proper grasp of the English language. Don’t let your language deteriorate after the application. Use of spellcheck, MS Word, or even a dictionary is encouraged. Everyone slips up every now and then, and not everyone is particularly gifted with English or speaks it as his/her first language, but please at least put forth an effort.
All role-play posts must be at least one full paragraph/50 words in length.
Please do not double post. If you have anything to add to a post, you can go back and edit your previous post instead of posting again and having two posts in a row.
Respect others in the cult. Don’t cause trouble. Keep IC drama in the role-play and keep OOC drama out of the cult entirely.
Anything of sexual or graphic content belongs in the mature (+16) threads. Keep it there only. If you don’t want to read such things or are under the age of 16, enter these threads at your own risk.
Do not post a new thread without permission from a staff member first.
No god modding, auto-hitting, or power playing. (Do not take control of someone else's character, put the another’s character in a damaging position without allowing him/her ANY escape from it, make a character who is “the strongest,” attack another player’s character without allowing the character a chance to dodge/bloc, etc.) Also, you may not kill off another member’s character without the other player’s permission and talking it over with a staff member first.
You may start out with two characters. After that, you may add another character with every thousand posts you reach. Also, if you talk it over with a staff member, you may switch your characters.
You may only use your own original characters. Don't use a character from an anime, manga, book, movie, TV show, video game, etc. We do not tolerate plagiarism.
You may be in numerous threads at one time, within reason. Please do not abuse this privilege, and make sure you can keep up with the amount of role-plays in which you are already participating.
As previously stated, plagiarism is not tolerated. If you’re caught using original information from TerminusRequiem in any other cult without the rightful owner’s permission and without giving due credit you will be banned from this cult. Please, respect the work that we’ve done. Don’t steal it and pass it off as your own.
Please do not spam or advertise any other cult, RP or not, within this cult.

Insubordination will not be tolerated. Breaking any of these rules can result in being kicked out of the cult or banned temporarily or permanently based on the severity of the situation.
