Welcome to PorcelainRoses. We are a role-playing cult set in the Victorian era (1837-1901) in England, primarily London. Back when things were prim and proper, and etiquette and social status were the tickets to success.
But there was trouble brewing beneath the surface of this society. There were creatures known to humans only by superstitions. And among those creatures, those who wanted to make the presence of all creatures known, and those who didn't, and possibly even those seeking a brand new world...

For applying members, make sure you read all of these rules first, read through the application, and do as it says correctly.
Keep in mind, this role-play IS set in the Victorian era (1837-1901) in England. If you don't know what they had and didn't have back then, you obviously have access to the internet, or you can ask a staff member.
Post in the introduction thread first. Until you have your usertitle, you may only post in the chatroom. You will be told when you can start role-playing. But before you post in the intro thread, make sure to read over the Species/Subspecies and Class Information threads.
Read over your posts before you submit. Use correct grammar and spelling, and if necessary use spell check or a dictionary. No chatspeak. Try to post at least one full paragraph each time you post.
Do not double post. If you have anything to add to a post, you can go back and edit your previous post instead of posting again and having two posts in a row.
Respect others in the cult, especially those with a higher rank than you. Don't cause drama.
If your role-play is getting too graphic (whether it be sex, profanity, or violence) please take it to your inbox. Content should be PG-13 in all threads, unless the thread is marked "+16" If a thread is +16, you may be as graphic as you please. Enter a +16 thread at your own risk, especially if you are under that age.
Do not post a new thread without permission from a staff member first.
No god modding or power playing. (Do not take control of someone else's character, put them in a damaging position without allowing them ANY escape from it, use powers that are outside of your character's range, etc.) Also, you may not kill off another members character without their permission and talking it over with a staff member first. The only other way a character may "die" is if you are killed by a higher-ranking character with "(KILL)" in their usertitle. If this happens, your character will be KO'd for one day, meaning you cannot use that character in the role-play threads until you are notified the next day that you may use that character again.
You may start out with two characters. After that, you may add another character with every thousand posts you reach. Also, if you talk it over with a staff member, you may switch your characters.
You may only use your own original characters. Don't use a character from an anime, manga, book, movie, TV show, video game, etc. We do not tolerate plagiarism.
You may be in numerous threads at one time, within reason. Please do not abuse this privilege, and make sure you can keep up with the role-plays you're in.
What staff says is law. If you have a problem with a staff member and think they're stepping out of line, take it up with D-chan.
Insubordination will not be tolerated. Breaking any of these rules can result in being kicked out of the cult or banned temporarily or permanently based on the severity of the situation.
Our current Featured Member is Ash (Dyno_Dyke)! She has been a member of the cult for over six months now and is a very a talented role-player. She was an admin in the cult until personal reasons made her temporarily step down, but in her time as admin she was a very active and helpful staff member. Talk to her and congratulate her here.

Michael Michael Hargrove, played by Ash (Dyno_Dyke), is our current Featured Character. Michael is a werewolf brawler, a mortician by trade, and the owner of an adorable dog named Michi. Though he comes from a wealthy family, Michael wants little to do with his family name and would rather give the money to those in need than spend it on himself. He spent a large portion of his life living in the orient before he returned to England. You can pester him in character here.
