Welcome to Hardcore_Poets, the place to put all your deepest desires and innermost thoughts in the form of a poem, short story, drawing, or your own lyrics.
Feel free to post poetry, lyrics, short stories, art, photography, and music.
We accept all types of literature and more!
Rules
[1] For all new members, [ Click Here ] to introduce yourself. This helps us to get to know you. After you've been in the cult for a while, we delete your introduction and move you up from the "newb" status under your profile name.
[2] When you're posting, give the name of your piece and what type of piece it is.
Types of pieces include: poem, shortstory, lyrics, art, etc. People do not want to read something that just says "A Poem". Just give it a simple title so it can be identified. It's a lot easier to comment on it if we know what it is. Otherwise, we'd just assume it's a poem.
[3] Do not advertise your cult on our cult.
Save it for inbox of other cults. The advertisement will be deleted.
[4] When you are posting profanity, etc., give a warning in the title box by putting "MC" for "Mature Content".
This includes: The F word; the A word; sexual content; profanity; etc. It's basically everything R rated. Your post will be edited or locked when needed. Example: Name [short story]*MC*.
[5] No double posting!
Go back and edit your post if you need to add something.
[6] When commenting on a thread, tell them what you really think.
Don’t just put “I liked it” or “It was good.” Tell why you liked it, or why you didn’t like it.
[7] Please save thank you's for the inbox.
We don't want a bunch of thank you's everytime after someone comments on your work.
[8] Only staff members can bump posts!
Staff members will bump a post they feel deserves more feed back or comments. Members cannot bump posts, and staff members may not bump their own posts!
Contest Rules
All work must be your own.
No mature content will be accepted.
Default number of entries has been set to five.
Art
[1] Make sure it is a reasonable size.
The artwork should not be any bigger than 500 pixels in width.
[2] If your entry has been digitalized in any way, please include that in your entry.
This includes inverting the colors, distortion, etc. If your artwork was made on Microsoft Paint or any other computer program, please include that in your entry.
Poetry
[1] Review your work before you submit it.
Spell check, grammar check, and form check your piece. It is very annoying reading over a bunch of misspellings and misplaced modifiers.
[2] Make sure you state whether it is form or free verse.
When we say form, we mean a poetic verse with stanzas and a certain rhyme format. Free verse doesn't require either of these.
Short Stories
[1] Review your work before you submit it.
Correct spelling is a must on short stories! And no, we wont spell check it for you!
[2] Works must be 1000 words or less.
Just use word count. It's not that hard.
Lyrics
[1] Review your work before you submit it.
We've said it before, and we'll say it again! Check your work!
[2] State what type of music would be playing.
Example: Rock, metal, ballad, etc.
Photography
[1] Make sure it is a reasonable size.
The artwork should not be any bigger than 500 pixels in width.
Bribes and Offers [Terms]
[1] Include both offer and condition. Example:
Offer: 10 invites
Condition: Bump my post "TITLE OF YOUR POST HERE"
[2] Offer must be greater than 10 invites.
Every 10 invites will bump your one of your posts allowing that you have followed all of the rules.
[3] Your post will only be bumped if you have taken your comments into consideration.
If someone has commented on your bad spelling, and you haven't done a thing to fix it, your offer will be rejected.
[4] If your offer was rejected, you may try again.
Helpful Hint:
The staff will most likely tell you why you were rejected, so start from there. Terms are subject to change at any time.
Consequences
Penalties are given out depending on the severity of the offence. [1] You get three warnings until we delete you.
[2] Deleted
[3] Banned for 5 days
[4] Banned for 10-15 days
[5] Banned indefinitely
Bribes and Offers

This is a new feature to Hardcore_Poets. You may now offer or bribe us to bump your poetry, feature you as our member of the month, and so on.
The minimum that you can you offer is 10 invites to the cult using our invite banner.
There is no limit as to what you can offer us.
Just like any offer or bribe, we can turn you down. It just depends on what you offer and what you want featured.
Bad Example:
A member with 2 posts might say
'Offer: 20 invites
Condition: Featured Member'
For one thing, 20 invites isn't enough if you've only got 2 posts. You have to deserve it.
Good Example:
A member with 50+ posts might say
'Bribe: One custom banner
Condition: Bumping 3 of my posts'
This is a good deal, but their posts will not be bumped until the banner has been made.
