| The metal band Disturbed didn't exist in the current formation you see now when they started. Dan Donegan, Mike Wengren and Fuzz, who were good friends, already played together for a while before David Draiman joined. From the moment that David joined, the band got more and more succes. The band gained something original and started to build a large fanbase in Chicago. Eventually they got a contract with Giant Records, whith whom they made their debut album, The Sickness. This album was realeased in march of 2000.
The group of fans kept on growing and Disturbed performed on The Ozz Fest in 2001 and got their own headline tour through the US that autumn. They also recorded the theme song of Steve Austin wich was played on radio. After touring Disturbed got in the studio to record their new album. This album had to represent their growth as a band. For this they worked with producer Johnny K an mixer Andy Wallace, they wanted the new album to be as good as other classic metal albums they admired. The new album, Believe was realeased in the autumn of 2002 and is said to be a heavier, more varied and much better album then the debut The Sickness.
After the realease Disturbed hits the road again. They released a live album from the Music As A Weapon tour together with Chevelle, Taproot and Unloco.
After this release there were some inside conflicts and Fuzz left Disturbed. His replacement became John Moyer, a former member of the Union Underground, with whom they startet the recording of a new album. Some titles are already given by David: GUARDED, DECADENCE, HELL, MONSTER, CRIMINAL, 10.000 FISTS.  
David originally comes from Brooklyn, New York, but currently he lives in Chicago. In his childhood he was a little pain in the ass and was therefore kicked out of 5 schools. He rebelled against his family, who wanted David to become a doctor or businessman. Fortunately David followed another path and became singer of Disturbed! David says that his music is mostly influenced by Tool, KoRn, Faith No More, Busta Rhymes en Method Man, but at this moment especially KoRn, Slipknot, Staind, Static-X, Type-O-Negative en Moby.  
Dan Donegan is working on the electronics of Disturbed and is also the guitarist. Dan is always playing guitar if he has got the chance and therefore his live performances are very good and almost similar to the CD recordings. On this site you may find some live recordings so that you can check this yourself. Dan is originally from Oak Lawn, Illinois, but he moved later on to Alsip, also Illinois, where he grew up. Nowadays Dan lives in Chicago. His music is mostly influenced by Metallica, Black Sabbath, KoRn, Machinehead en Sevendust. Currently he is influence by bands as KoRn, Machinehead, Slipknot, Static-X and Staind. If Dan isn't doing anything with Disturbed, he still writes some muziek and is listening to other bands.  
Mike Wengren is the drummer of Disturbed, he is the most important "beat keeper" of de band. Everyone understands that Disturbed wouldn't be Disturbed without his drummer. Unfortunately you won't be able to see him on many pictures because he is always behind his drums at the back of the stage. It's too bad because he is an important part of Disturbed. Mike is born and raised in the south of Chicago, the city where the whole band lives at the moment. His influences are Vinnie Paul (Pantera), Scott Tracis (Racer X, Judas Priest en Fight) and Tommy Lee (Methods of Mayhem en Motley Crue) But currently he is mostly influenced by Slipknot, Machinehead, Sevendust, Staind, Meshuggah, KoRn, Static-X, Fear Factory en Pantera. JOHN  John used to be the bassist of "The Union Underground", who were responsible for the hit "Across The Nation". John is filling the position of bass player that used to be filled by Steve "Fuzz" Kmak. He left the band because of some inside conflicts.
