We’ve all had the question; ‘where do we come from?’. The answer seems simple enough, right? From our parents. They came from their parents, and their parents came from their parents; so on and so forth…but what if society didn’t come from what we were said to believe. Maybe we didn’t come from a long line of Smiths’ or Moores‘, or even Vanderbelts’…our heritage of family and the lies that are fed into our feeble minds. What if, we were a genetic mistake that had been disconnected from a world that only stories are born from?
All through life you are told that your family has a heritage of proud, strong men, noble and rich in blessings. But what you weren’t told that your decadents were of pure Romanian blood. The kind of blood that demons were born from. A truth that was exaggerated into myths and mysticism. That the probability that you could be related to these beasts were just stories that your fanatical grandmother told you to behave. Stories like the boogeyman under your bed, the witch in the attic, and the ghosts in the basement. Little lies that made your heart race and your mind filled with terror…but then you were told they were just tales so you wouldn’t lie awake late at night wondering about each sound you heard, or all the shadows you saw.
But for a second, let’s make believe that the fables were true. That the monsters in your closet were something more then human. Something of this world that you couldn’t explain. They are powerful beings with magic and wonders beyond your wonderings. They could shift into animals, break and heal the land, listen and speak with animals, and live for centuries. Strong beasts with dark, mysterious pasts and noble intentions....most of them.

Respect the staff, and other members
If there is an issue of ANY sort, contact the staff or the owner
Be courteous to the RP's creator and respect their rules. The creator of the RP has the final say in what does and does not go in their RP. If you have been asked not to post, please do so and find another RP. This also applies to following the rules that the thread creator has set down to make sure that everybody is playing on the same level and playing fairly
Use appropriate spelling and grammar. Mistakes here and there are okay, but do not make it a frequent occurrence. Don't use internet dialect such as w/, u, etc. Grammar also includes the use of paragraphs. For longer posts, it is essential that you use paragraphs to ensure that your post is easy to comprehend. Pasting your post into Microsoft Word and running a spell check before you post is advised or double checking and rereading (proofread) after it is written to ensure fluidness and clarity
Longer posts are better. No short, meaningless posting. All roleplay posts should consist of at least 10 lines or a good paragraph. Extended posts are always nice but dont make it a habit, or else people will stop wanting to read. If they miss a day, it'll be rather frustrating to go through pages and pages of walltext. Detailed descriptions not only make roleplaying more interesting, it ensures that your fellow characters understand your play; reducing any OOC confusion, and hopefully preventing arguments about play
Cursing and swearing are allowed, however excessive use is not permitted. It is vulgar and unoriginal and does not make for effective roleplay. You may have romance, and be descriptive. Gore is allowed and if you cant handle it, notify the RP leader that you're leaving and find a more suitable RP.
Do not control other players. Unless you are told that you may do otherwise, you do not have control over any character other than your own. It is very rude to control another person's character
Do not auto hit. Do not assume that any attack you have made against another character automatically hits the target. It is very rude to decide that the character is suddenly stabbed or struck blind or killed or whatever because you just did it to them without giving them a chance to block, evade, or counter. You may message the person and talk it over, but if they do not agree, then chances are your hopeful attempt wont work. Likewise, don't assume that you are impervious to being damaged. Your character cannot dodge or block every attack thrown at you, so don't so say they can.
Do not god-mod. This includes things like pulling out powerful weapons that you never had before, blocking or dodging attacks in ways that shouldn't be possible, and using attacks that exceed the limits of your character's power. Basically you cannot control a character that is immune to attacks, can kill anything and everything, or incapable of weakness
Stick to your character. After you've established your character and your weapons, stick to it! Do not modify your character mid-roleplay unless you have the permission of the RP leader. If you want to join, prove you read the rules by putting "Let the story begin" somewhere in your application. So many people fail to do this because they think that this will be put at the end of the rules. NO, I put it somewhere in the middle. Its more effective that way XD
. If you create too many characters than you can handle, hand them off or have them disposed of by means of death or other types of leave. It also makes it easier if more than one characters aren’t always together. Sometimes this works, but like I said, if it becomes a problem, do what was said in the above
Do NOT double post, if you need to add something, edit your previous post. exceptions include multiple bios, or posting your starter intro after your bio
One of the most IMPORTANT rules, please, please, PLEASE make sure you use sequence. If your rping w/ 3 or more people, dont post out of turn. This really sucks for people who might miss a day and have to come back to 5 pages to read. Please refer to the Members Help Thread for more info. Disregard for any of these rules result in automatic ban. Post order only counts when your rping with someone else. If you are in the same rp with 5 other people but are only rping with two of those, then post order only counts to you and those two other people. Then the other people rping in the thread stick to the order that THEY are in

03.02.10.Everything has been reset. All staff [other than owner and co-owner], all characters, threads have been deleted or redone. More to come in the future. Sub forums have be re-established, and we are well on our way to anew.
03.01.10. The Cult has been on hiatus for a long time, but its now we shall resurrect it from the dead. Its seen rp's through to the end. And I intend to have it not see its last. Staff will remember the great times they had, and I'll welcome any one of you back. Please hang tight, while we start a new.
