Once upon a time, long long ago, in a land far, far away, darkness reigned eternally. The evil Queen of the Darkness, Kerria, denied her world any sort of light. Many of the inhabitants liked this, loving their Dark Queen for all she did for them, yet some were unhappy, wishing the world could see daylight and the sun.
Working together, they created a small city of light in a far corner of the world. Gradually, many more people joined them, their goal being to bring down Queen Kerria.
A young princess in another world soon heard tell of their City of Light. Princess Leora came to the dark world, wishing to help in their battle against the darkness. She was appointed the Queen of the Light.
Young Queen Leora went to visit Queen Kerria. She, despite being dark, was a fair and just ruler, and believed in equal chances. So, when she and Queen Leora declared war against each other, she made sure to allow the boundaries of the world to give them good space.
The Capital city of the Dark World, where Kerria's castle loomed tall and dark, became the City of Darkness.
The City of Light erected a beautiful white and gold castle for Queen Leora. The City of Light became their hometown, where Light ruled supreme.
Everything else became unclaimed territory, where creatures of both the Light and the Dark were free to wander.
