My name is Sarah...I'm a vocalist and sometime bassist who is seeking a metal project of some kind (I also write lyrics, so please let me know if you'd like some for your band). In the meantime I work, go to university, write, philosophize, take pictures, and am currently trying to learn new languages (I speak French so far), guitar (I'm working on refurbishing my red Peavey Patriot), and drums. I played trombone for several years and specialized in jazz, but I really don't have the time for it anymore. I consider myself a freethinking individual, but that does not mean I am under the illusion that I'm special in any way. But some people can still make a difference - and I want and strive to be one of them. If you do not like my use of profanity, well, sorry about your luck I guess - I use it fairly frequently, so hopefully that is something you can stomach. I am an agnostic, but I won't bitch over it if you happen to hold different beliefs - thoughtful, intelligent, and respectful discussion is the best way to go about those subjects regardless of disagreements. I have added myself to this site mainly for friendship and networking purposes, so if you want something other than that from me, I request that you make your intentions known from the beginning because I refuse to be anyone's doormat. That being said, however, please don't be afraid to say hello - I'm pretty easy going and I like meeting interesting new people. Oh, Yes, I know what is just, and what is real. On a very deep level, beyond the veil that our senses acquire. But I only charge for musical services. The other stuff I do because it feels like I was born to help, serve even. But not in a bad sense. Indeed in service I have received more than imaginable.
Oh, Personally I have been through more than most people, trauma. Bad stuff, Rape, incest, murder. And have been what you could call de-constructed and rebuilt in a better way. I always had a great ability to make people feel relaxed and good about themselves, positive effect. So I have tried dozens of substances, 100's of trips, and studied passionately. For sure each person is unique, and has to be uniquely treated. I know many who have been scarred and poisoned with psych meds and abuses, and they all respond phenomenally well!
Oh, yeah. I performed concerts, classical guitar, for years but grew weary of travel. But it was nice. Yes, I do "unconventional" therapy using visionary plants and shamanic ritual. Help alot of people regular psychs cannot.
I was protesting the protest, because I am weird. But the other 10,000 people were protesting the NATO summit. So unpleasantry is the norm? How dreadful dear!
Oh yes, Spent the weekend at protests in Chicago and clubbing. Fixed my mom's car today and spent time at beach. I keep thinking a satellite is going to fall on my head. Life is that way when it gets going good! And you?
