Dragonforce Live Review

When I covered the Mayhem Festival this year I unfortunately missed seeing one band in particular that I was interested to see, and that band is Dragonforce. Since the 80s I may have not been the biggest fan of guitar bands like Dream Theater and Savatage, but I certainly admired their unbelievable talent as musicians. Since hearing Dragonforce on a video game of all places (Guitar Hero III), it drew my curiosity to see this guitar solo paved road of insanity live (and yes I play video games, I am that kind of dork  ).
This group of shredders were more than the bang for your buck, you even get some humor along with the show. Each member made it seem like they were having a literal guitar "battle", challenging one another each time they got on their platforms to demonstrate their soloing skills, and more hip thrusting than your favorite Jenna Jameson flick. Their energy level was shot up higher than Robert Downey Jr. when he ran for the border. Overall an interesting show, which you could even get blow up snake swords at, and enjoy one hell of a return to good old fashioned 80s guitar shredding. But hey for a band like this better that you see for yourselves:

Dragonforce sucks live, they use all those eccets etc in studio, I've seen em live and they stank...

They used to be cool when they didn't take it seriously and just had fun.
Now they are stuck up asshole and think they are the most amazing band ever, which couldn't be any further from the truth.
They are a joke of a band.
I used to stick up for them saying they were nice guys when my friends said they were shit but no more, 'cause they have absolutely no redeeming qualities.

I rather like dragonforce. I mean, i think it is only natural that a bunch of assholes (which will label themselves here) hate dragonforce because they have nothing better to do than that (+ masturbate). But I will say I completely agree with you. Their all cool guys, too.
You did miss one very important element though - drums. I want a pic of al the band!
