I am an open person, I'm friendly and always willing to meet new people.
I spin fire poi. I have been spinning since 2003 when I attended Burning Man for the first time. There I met a woman named Vanessa, who taught me just about everything I know. She took years of classes and crammed them into three days. In those three days she turned my sister and myself into semi-professional fire dancers. When we returned to Wyoming after the event my sister and I started putting on shows in the parking lot of the laundromat our family owned. This gathered some fairly large crowds, living in Laramie this means like 15 to 20 people. People then started asking us how we learned and if we would let them try it. That is when I got the idea to teach. Since then I have taught many poi spinners. Some of my students are Julie LaBounta, Michaela Dennies, Savannah Whetton, Gary Taylor, Steven Scheafer, DJ Stuart, Dillon Ruland,, Brendan Collins, Dest Collins, Matthew Peck, Crystal Fregd, Leah LaBounta, Kendra Nelson, and a few others. My mother, sister, uncle, and soon grandma spin fire. It became a family event, and passion.
I am a very passionate person. I love unconditionally, this does not mean I am willing to be walked on or treated like a door mat, it simply means that I love people for who they are including their faults. I stick up for what I believe in, no matter how it may make anyone else feel. I live my life the best way I can. I am honest, and open. I trust people until given a reason not to. That has bitten me before, but I will not let one person ruin my outlook on people. I do not judge people for their short comings. I believe people make mistakes, but if you never make a mistake you will never learn. Lord knows I've made a few of my own.
I have a beautiful daughter, and I am a second mom to many people. These people either had a hard time or needed a mother figure at one point or another. Some of the "kids" are Steven Schaefer, Desti Collins, and Michaela Dennies. I do not replace their parents but I have been there when they needed someone and could not talk to their parents. I raised my little sister as well and sometimes feel like more of a mother than a sister to her as well.
I am a friend to many, but I usually end up family. I'm a Juggalette, this may have some influence on how I feel about my friends, but maybe not...
I seem to also be a counselor for most of my buddies. I am a person that they can all come to with any problem, to vent, or ask for advice. I have an innate ability to give an outsider point of view, even when it comes to something involving myself. I was taught to look at all sides before making an opinion on any given situation.
I'm always willing to meet new people, if I sound like someone you would like to know better please feel free to send me an add request.
