The American Black Metal Scene is, and has been for some time, on the rise as many of the more indigenous forms of American metal become stagnant, the potential for expansion of the genre of black metal is more limitless than others. Not bound by the constraints of convention that more established black metal scenes have had to endure, we tend to draw on the influences of past metal bands such as WASP, Danzig, Iron Maiden, or Slayer, as well as the more modern progressive bands such as Agorah, Opeth, Enslaved, Cynic, or even Tool, in addition to the past & present black metal bands that solidify Grethor's roots. We are not bound by any religious doctrine, & are deeply opposed to the theocratic movement & repression in which any religion holds the country of its origin. We believe that spirituality does not have to be under any shamanistic spell, and the truth is too ethereal a concept as vast as the cosmos itself to be defined in the concept of a God or a Devil. These are merely archaic symbols to simplify human consciousness as universal. We believe in far more than that as art is often infinite, so shall it be with human consciousness.
