[2002]
Aquilus were first formed. Band member included Ryan Wakenshaw (Tiger Curtis) on guitar and vocals, David Henderson (Freddy Payne) on guitar, Sam Warren (Pandora Collinwood) on keyboard, Richard Lock on bass and Steven Lock on drums. The first songs produced were little more than standard Nu-Metal songs.
[2003]
Things were going sour between band members and as a result not much was happening. Towards the end of the year the band were on the verge of splitting up.
[2004]
The band had a reshuffle and Simon Churchill took over on drums and Lauren Kenworthy took over on bass. The music was getting more interesting but things between Freddy Payne and Tiger Curtis was straining and half way through the year Freddy parted ways from the band making way for Danny Irving (Spencer Darzk) to take over on the guitar.
The rest of the year Aquilus played cover songs but never gained much respect, covers were just not their strong point.
Come Christmas time Tiger and Pandora sat down to write some of their own material, it was at this time that they discovered their hidden talent... both Autopsy and Narcotic Existence were written here and still remain as songs fans remember well.
[2005]
At the beginning of 2005 Simon and Lauren both left the band, Simon was moving onto different things playing guitar and singing while Lauren just didn't enjoy the music, she wanted heavy metal after all.
After much auditioning Tiger and Pandora just couldn't find replacements, Pandora decided to play bass for a while but the songs were still lacking drums and keys.
It was now that Aquilus's future was determined, deciding that they would just pre-record the drums with a drum machine and use standard MIDI as the keys these were stuck onto a CD and Aquilus played along. There was something about this that intrigued Tiger and Pandora and so they expanded on the idea and it soon became part of the band.
The first proper EP was released this year too, "Self Satisfaction" was a mix between the older MIDI and drums but with more raw production and samples that made the album Industrial.
Aquilus played several gigs towards the end of the year which seen them catapulted into one of the regions finer bands, even embarrasing bands which have been playing for years.
[2006]
With a new year came new music. As things settled down for Aquilus to really work on sounds they wanted to. A new guitarist came along too after Spencer vanished from the scene, the new guitarist Kieran Playfair (Isis Black) was more Aquilus than Spencer had ever been, Tiger and Pandora loved him.
So far work is still underway for the new full length album Narcotic Existence which is expected for sale early next year along with some merchandise and alot of promotion and high key gigs.
[2007]
As yet another year came by Tiger Curtis had to make a decision to ensure that all his fellow band members were serious about going further. So to start the new year the band parted ways with Isis Black before any work had been done with him and have been auditioning. So far they have met two new guitarists and a pianist. Pandora Collinwood is finally returning to playing bass and the band believe they have also found a new drummer.
The Ghost Orchestra
The Ghost Orchestra was formed in 2006 after people kept commenting on the "invisible" players in the band. As a result Tiger Curtis and Pandora Collinwood decided to bring this "Ghost Orchestra" to life, a short EP of 5 songs which excluded the guitars and vocals of the band and includes only the instruments of the ghost orchestra themselves: Grand Piano, Violas, Violins, Cellos, Double Bass, Flutes, Synthesisers, SEFX, Sampling and Electric Drums. The Ghost Orchestra can also be heard live at every performance by Aquilus.
