ABOUT AMHERIST
January, 2007 a musical group known as Amherist was born in Glendale, CA, The band Amherist has mixed two well known styles of modern music, Hardcore and Pop known as Popcore along with their own truly amazing and unique twist to these styles of music that has become a great musical triumph. The original band members of Amherist which made a great deal of good music together, Vocalist/Guitarist Fico, Bassist Armen, Guitarist/Vocalist Cailey, Drummer Armen, and Later joined by Vocalist Brian, Have played with such popular and influential Bands such as Eyes Set To Kill and Foxy Shazam. Showing how great of a musical talent Amherist has to be skilled enough to have the honor of playing with such prestigious Bands as these.

Amherist got its name from a street in Burbank, CA, known as Amherst. There was a convenient store there that would sell them cigarettes while they were minors! There for they decided to take a small variation on the name of the street Amherst and call their band Amherist. Vocalist Brian joined the band after meeting Drummer Armen; they first met each other at Togos (where Armen was working) and exchanged numbers. Brian then got the great opportunity to jam with Amherist and became a great new addition to the band due to his brilliant musical performance! Fico, Armen, Cailey and Armen all met while in high school and formed Amherist. In July, 2008 Fico left Amherist (unfortunately) Because of musical differences. But in his place an equally talented new Guitarist known as Wolf has joined Amherist!

Amherist loves to meet their fans! And perform live! So if you ever get the chance too meet them or see them seize the great opportunity of a life time! Amherist has gone through a few changes and has been around for a fairly short amount of time but has accomplishes so much and has broken musical boundaries! Amherist is here to stay for quite some time longer and needs all of the support they can get! This group has accomplished things that shall never be forgotten and shall have fans through out their time of musical accomplishment and expansion.

Bassist Armen, Guitarist/Vocalist Cailey, Drummer Armen, Vocalist Brian, and Guitarist Wolf make up what is now Amherist and will continue to make great music and achieve big accomplishments!
