The VampireFreaks Alerter is a program you install on your computer, that will alert you whenever you have new messages on vampirefreaks.com.

Version 1.2.0 adds a new tab where you can see when you friends are online, and get alerts when they on or offline. It also adds a feature so that any alerts you have disabled will not changet he tray-icon anymore.

It is customizable so you can choose to receive alerts from inbox messages, comments, journal comments, cult invites, band journals, picture comments, new friends pictures, new friends journals, new songs from bands in your list and bulletins.

If you do not want to receive a certain alert, such as cult invites or journal comments, simply disable that alert. It works silently in your taskbar, and slides up on the bottom right of your task bar when you have an alert. If you do not click on it, it simply slides away after a few seconds.

The Alerter is available for Windows, Linux (Fedora and Ubuntu) and Mac OSX, to download, just take a look at the Downloads page. There are some different themes available too on the Themes page.
