| I'm not a very exciting person anymore but I have an interesting occupation. I love it and I feel that it helps people. I harvest skin, bones, tendons, nerves, veins, and hearts from dead people for the purpose of transplantation. I travel to hospitals and morgues across my state at all hours of the day and night. In addition, I pay weekly visits to the local medical examiner's office in search of potential donors. Death takes no holidays and neither do I. I'm also a licensed mortician. I used to live in the funeral home where I served my apprenticeship. My husband is a mortician as well and still works in the deathcare industry. I have degrees in Psychology and Mortuary Science. I want to go back to school to become a pathologist. I will go to grad school to be a PA in the next year or two and after that I hope to attend medical school. I no longer care about clothing, tattoos, piercings, music, and movies. I've been through the club scene, have plenty of body mods, listened to every type of music imaginable. Those things do not define a person. I have learned this as I have matured and become an adult. I'm married, pay all my bills, own a house and a car. I do as I please and am proud of being independent. Other things about me; I'm Christian, Vegetarian (though I still eat fish), expert urban birdwatcher, and aspiring lepidopterist. I'm artsy and love being random. I have a cute little rottweiler who is a pain in my butt. In spite of some of the above things I tend to be very conservative. I like to think I'm not obnoxious about it but there mere principle seems to offend people. So much for open mindedness, I guess. | → details |
