World Under is an energetic and exciting escape from ordinary metal. Eager to succeed, they enlisted the efforts of Matt Sepanic (Slipknot, Envy Corp,etc)at Sound Farm Studios to produce and record their album with only one thing in mind... Domination. “The Calling”,World Under’s first single, was released on 105.1 channel Q (Ames,Des Moine) and quickly became the number one requested song. Formed in Des Moines, Iowa in early 2006, World Under has recruited a team of elite musicians. Vocalist Josh Baumunk brings an energy to the stage that is rarely experienced. As an opera trained vocalist, Josh’s vocals range from melodic singing to powerful screams that command an audience. Lead guitarist Max Hudson incorporates not only metal, but jazz and classical techniques in this unique style of playing. He has toured the country with members who went on to perform in bands such as Slipknot, Stone Sour, and DownTheSun. Bassist David Ogden has never known boundries. Hailing from California, he has played the country with many world renowned musicians. His melodic lines, ownership of the stage, and bizarre behavior are sure to entertain. Newly acquired rhythm guitarist Jesse Knight has shown his ability to entertain.His “in-your-face” style of playing can always please a crowd. Drummer Rick Johnson, a former jazz percussionist, is the foundation on which the group was built. His speed and precision give World Under its well-rounded line-up.
