I think that we have all gone spiritually retarded, and are in desperate need of a deep mind fuck. I completely believe in enlightenment. But I also think that we are making it a bigger deal than it is. If we could just be true to ourselves always, I think we could get it. If we can let go of our fake personalities and all of our addictions then it may be possible. I don't know, but I think that's it. When we try to be unlike our true selves, we drift further away from enlightenment. I don't think that I'll ever understand exactly why we hold ourselves back from happiness. The only thing limiting your thoughts is fear. Loose the fear and find yourself.
