"Future cult classic" (Future Music)
The VTQ started life as a solo studio project making spoof mash-ups. These developed into a full album, the self-titled debut (2005), before morphing once again into a fully live 8-piece London band...
Shows followed at UK festivals and clubs including GLASTONBURY, BESTIVAL, LOST VAGUENESS, THE FAMOUS SPIEGELTENT, BEATHERDER and many more, picking up a growing reputation and a cult following. A near miss with the UK download charts almost dented the band's underground credibility, but skillful ineptitude on the part of their record label preserved their cult status.
Tracks have since found their way into TV shows like UGLY BETTY (Voodoo Juju), become theme tunes for several BBC Radio comedy series & the MTV series THE PAPER (Medium Wave) and sound tracked LittleBIGplanet on the PlayStation.
Meanwhile a series of progressively more polished 10" EPs, The Phantom (2007) and Vibrations (2008), paved the way for the second album "The Voodoo Trombone Quartet ...Again" (2009).
