Profile:
VNV Nation Biography

The Irish/English duo, VNV Nation (aka Ronan Harris production, music and lyrics, and Mark Jackson drums) is, without a doubt, one of the leaders in the world of alternative electronic music. Their unique sound and songwriting style combine contemporary electronic, alternative, indie and dance music with thematic, insightful lyrics and inspiring, emotive vocals. The music can range from hard-edged dancefloor anthems, to haunting ballads, to symphonic orchestrations.
VNV Nation has also earned incredible acclaim for energetic live shows that have become a must-see for anyone who has heard about them. Their world tours have seen the band play sellout shows across Europe and North America and play as one of the headlining acts at some of the best-known alternative festivals in the USA, Germany, Sweden and many other countries, such as Coachella (US), Street Scene (US), Mera Luna (D), WGT (D), Arvika (SE) and more.

Latest Album: Reformation 01

Critics hailed their last album Judgement (2007), as their strongest album to date. The album showed a big step forward in terms of the bands definitive songwriting, production and music styles, and its mix of a broad range of contemporary alternative music with the distinctive VNV Nation sound. After the release of the album, an unofficial video was created for the song Illusion, from the album, which has been played 1.2 million times on Youtube, alone. The album has sold 50,000 copies to date.
VNV Nations releases have consistently topped alternative charts for the last 10 years and scored high on major charts. Judgement reached #2 on the US iTunes Electronic Albums Chart, #3 on the Canadian iTunes Electronic Albums Chart, #3 on the US Billboard Electronic Albums chart, #7 on the US Billboard Heatseekers Chart, #28 on the US Billboard Independent Chart, #1 on the German Alternative Chart, #3 on the German College Radio chart and #1 on the Italian Alternative Chart.
The band has gained a devoted, fanatical and diverse worldwide following that draws fans from a wide range of musical backgrounds and countries and which also includes many major alternative artists.
In late 2008, the band formed the label Anachron America, the North American counterpart to their self-owned European label Anachron Sounds. This new label is a partnership with RED, one of the 3 main independent distributors in North America, and Channel Zero, a major player in American alternative music.
April 2009 will see the release of the bands first box set, Reformation 01, followed in June by VNV Nations next album Of Faith, Power and Glory and a World Tour.
