Trucido
Profile: Hi all, Johan of Trucido here. I decided to make a VF profile for Trucido, so here you go. To celebrate this event, i've added a new Trucido song, "The Avatar". I hope you enjoy, and look forward to the new Trucido CD "Retribution" coming out May 1st, 2007! _________________________________________________ Trucido was formed by Johan Hauck and Ivan Bullock. The project began in Tokyo Japan during January 2001, with a primary focus on creating a style of music combining the tranquillity of classical music, with the power of heavy, angry music...The secondary focus of the Trucido Project was to create EBM/IDM music wherein lyrics focus on world events and the state of the world, new age EBM/IDM artists have taken the political aspect out of their music, Trucido feels the two should be hand in hand. The music of Trucido developed an underground following in Japan. Their music, influenced by Velvet Acid Christ, Hocico, Leather Strip, Decoded Feedback and Flesh Field to name a few, drew enough interest to the point of thembecoming part owner/managers of the biggest and most popular Industrial/Gothic club in all of Tokyo "CyberAgeVoodoo". The band name "Trucido" comes from a Latin word meaning "to kill cruelly, slay, butcher, massacre, slaughter" This name was specifically chosen to reflect the cruel and violent world we humans have created, it is by no means an endorsement of such activities but a reminder of why this world is in a state of constant distress. Trucido has, and will always stand up against racism, anti-semitism, violence, sexual crimes and other forms of evil in the world. Trucido released their first demo, a Japan only release, in March 2001. The first live performance came soon afterwards, taking place in Tokyo, Japan. March 2002 brought the Japan only EP "Regressions". In April of the following year, Trucido's first music video "Battlefield", starring famed Canadian model Alex Rodionova and directed by Jef Harris, the man behind Velvet Acid Christ's "Decypher" video, was released worldwide. Trucido then signed with Zeitgeist Records and have just released their first full length album "Modus Vivendi "Ivan and Adam have performed in numerous countries to include Japan, Australia, Germany, America and Canada. Ivan has a background primarily in classical music. Since the conception of his solo project "Mystral Tide" Ivan has increasingly been drawn towards darkwave composition. Johan originally started off listening/making Drum and Bass music. His productions progressed into a focus on angry EBM and a dark world inspired by tragedy, philosophy and discontentment, carrying over much of his D&B influences. Now both live outside of Tokyo (Johan in Germany) (Ivan now lives back in Australia) while continuing to make special performances in Tokyo to sell out crowds. After a three year hiatus, Johan decided to return to music. Trucido has been hard at work in the studio and plans it's sophmore release "Retribution" in May 2007. Look for Trucido to be on tour in Germany and America in 2007. Visit Trucido on Myspace! Trucido - Modus Vivendi can be bought here: ![]()
