That's because the UN (then influenced overwhelmingly by the US) insisted upon taking a 'neutral' stance on the matter -- though it funneled funding and arms to the rebels. The embassy was evacuated, peace keepers had left the country, there wasn't much reason to stick around -- though I think most would agree that they should have.

I play just about everything. Crysis is crazy, my computer would catch fire, and no gaming system can actually run it. I only know one guy who has a fast enough computer to run it on minimum resolution. Modding the tank cannon into a nuker is fun though -- the environment effects are amazing. Mercs 2 looks great, I didn't hear enough about the first one to ever start playing it -- I missed out.

Yeah, I played WOW for a couple years in high school. Got bored with it. 6-hour instance runs for the loose.

Actually, the group in Rambo were missionaries (scum of the earth, in my opinion) -- the Peace Corp has a lot more to do with humanitarian aid and stuff of that nature. They're not dropping me in a war zone -- and generally we get UN peace keepers for security.

Yeah, I don't game as much as I used to, but I'd still maybe like to get involved with it. What do you play?

I'm going to university for graphic design, though I'm unsure what exactly I'll do with it. I'm a gamer (among other things) so the hope was that I'd get involved with game design. The last couple of weeks I've been working in a coffee house though, and I'm really digging this barista thing too. And after college I'm going into the peace corps... so it'll probably be awhile before I actually get around to the graphic design thing. While I'm in a jungle somewhere dyeing of malaria, I'll contemplate it more. Living by the seat of my pants for now though.

Yeah, Opeth is the best! I'm really excited for their concert in October. So how is life?

Greater meaning lies in the fairytale of my childhood, than in the truth that is taught by life.

Lessons, I've thought about it. But to tack anything more onto full-time job and full-time school might kill me.

I can draw, anime escapes me though.

Train of thought is not something I have either. But to write a good song, you don't need to write a novel. I carry a notebook. Anything weird I think of throughout the day, or hear throughout a day I just jot down and sleep on it. The next day I look it over and see if it's worth expanding on. I observed a man with dementia the other day, I've got 2 pages of what I thought might be going through his mind. I amused myself more than anything else though.

Singing isn't really my bag. I don't think I'm too good at it. But I guess when I began writing music and composing stuff, I stuck to lines and a style I could sort-of pull off. In general though my actual vocal roles in my music are brief.

Yeah, I guess I like to have a considerable bit of control over my art -- though I'm not too assertive or confrontational, so it's hard for me to really work with other people in an artistic sense without feeling that I'm being walked on. So now I don't.

It's just a zeitgeist of the times. It'll go away eventually -- and then come back again in about 20-30 years. That screamo 'style' barrows a lot from the 90's grunge period, but frankly it's over-done, and done quite poorly. I've forsaken much of the mainstream.

I think just being a musician endows you with a greater appreciation for other artists. I don't think I try to out-do originals, but I like looking up tablature and trying various styles to try and pick up on a few tricks here and there.
