Tarnished Souls was started By Guitarist Austin Hudson and Singer Richard Sims in the summer of 2006 along with brother and bassist Eric Hudson. They wanted a pianist and a second guitar player and Richard asked Brandon Williamson to fill the spot and the band went on until spring of 2007 learning the instruments and writting music. Only 1 full song was written ,but it never had a drum track so the song was lost and forgotten. In the search to find a drummer, Brandon found Michael Bryan Ash in the fall of 2007 Michael already had enough experience to play in a band before and had the only house that was propery equiped with a Rehersal Room. Austin was removed from the band after a publicity stunt of falsely stating he was Bi-sexual. Shortly after recording "Look Above" and the events of homecoming 2008 Eric was also removed from the band and was Replaced By Mitchel Sherwood. Richard Sims left to "do something more in life" and works hard to pay for all his own expenses he became Lead Singer Of Christian Metal Band Darkness Falls and owns the full right to the lyrics "Look Above" the two bands play the song in different tunings but they both originate from the first recording Tarnished Souls Is Dedicated To The Loving Memory Of Sarah Rogers
"Look Above" Written in March 2008 was The First song successfully written and recorded in a span of 2 days and is the only song written under the full original band line up. "Because I'm Outside" is the first single and a parody of the song "Because I Got High" which was written, recorded and produced in two weeks starting from February 13, 2009 It was created for a Poem Video Project in Which Brandon Was Encouraged to write a song for it and the music and video footage was written and recorded in 3 days and the songs music video was edited by utilizing the video editing program Adobe Premiere Elements The song itself, is about how all we want a do is to take summer and enjoy the break from school and how we ruined it because we didn't want to do work at all.
