A 19-year-old who made the "step to the darkside" if you will because the only friends I had in the last 15 years (During which I was forced to live in Alabama.) I only had the groups often labeled as "Outcasts" I.E. Punks, Goths, and anyone NOT a football player. Then, I move to Connecticut, and the first groups to speak to me are the Goths, punks, and other "Outcasts" again, though some of the more irritating types as well (Preps, etc.). However, in one year (my senior year in high school) I made friends as good as my one semi-preppy friend Alex who still lives in Alabama, but we maintain contact via internet and phone. For the first time in all my life, I had the chance to get into relationships (boyfriend/girlfriend type) only since I moved in Alabama. All Alabamians hated me, and the girls acted like I was the plague. The guys spent four years of my life picking fights with me because I was different. They lost, but still, that got old. If there's anything else you wanna know, just ask. I am a fairly open person.

I was one of the few people at my school who could have hung with the "popular" crowd but chose to be friends with the losers. Frankly, they were the best friends I could have hoped for. Even though I moved seven hours away and it's been three or four years since I've seen most of them, we're still friends.
