"Syrenn, is a band, with razor sharp cuts that can be deemed a sonic battle cry for a new era of besmirched under ground industrial. In a sea of carbon copies Syrenn is a work of audio genius ripped from the heart, throat and viciously fervent mind of its creator. From the deepest, darkest corners of her psyche, Syrenn bares all, lyrically and melodically.
Syrenn is the brainchild of its namesake. After nearly ten years of band jumping, and aiming to stay in one emotional piece by way of banging out songs on pianos, guitars and anything she could get her hands on - Syrenn decided to go solo. Formerly, known as Iam Nemesis, Syrenn has been cutting her teeth in the Philadelphia Goth/Industrial scene since 2005.
With a legion of loyal fans demanding a live taste, it was time to find musicians that could bring Syrenn’s aggressive and labyrinthine songs to life. Syrenn joined forces with MyParasites frontman, Jaws, who contributes hauntingly dynamic beats and danceable electronic sequences. On guitar, Albuquerque transplant Brittany Bordella of the band Bordellas Prose, completes Syrenn’s rhapsody by affixing a punk rock edge. The two add a sinister uppercut to Syrenn’s ambient to harsh vocal prowess.
With a fist full of live performances under their belt, including a shared bill with pioneers of the scene, TheStart, Syrenn is ready take their raw and ardent live act on the road. Look out for their debut album, which will drop in 2010"
