There will never be anyone like me.
I am special because I am unique.
I am stardust and dreams.
I am light.
I am love and hope.
I am hugs and sometimes tears.
I am the words, “I love you.”
I am swirls of blue, red, and yellow,
and all the colors that no one can name.
I am the sky, the sea, and the earth.
I trust, yet I fear.
I hide, yet I don’t hold anything back.
I am free.
I am a child becoming an adult.
I am me, and me is just right.
Those are pretty words, but to some, they may seem pointless. However, they describe me in all that I am. Even what they are describes a piece of me. I’m not a lot of things. I’m not great when it comes to intellectual problems or discussions; hugely intellectual things sometimes have the tendency to pass right over my head. But I am amazingly intuitive, and I believe that I was given my intuition for a reason, so I use it in place of intelligence. Words help to describe me because they are my life. I love words, using them, learning new words, and playing with words. You’ve heard people say that words can either hurt or heal, and that is something that I believe with all of my being.
I am not as punk as you. I am not as good as you. I am not as popular as you. I don't have as trendy clothes as you do. I have fewer pins on my nifty jacket than you do. I have less cool band friends than you. I have fewer friends than you do. I have less money than you do. I have fewer wits than you do. I am not as smart as you. I do not make as good grades as you do. I can't dance like you can. I can't sing like you can. I am Jezabelle, and if I had a penis, I would tell you to suck it.
I am twenty years old, and I live in Canada. I come from a small hillbilly town, where you can actually still ride your horse through the streets and hitch it up outside the local bar where you can go in, and proceed to get slobbering, falling down drunk. And I love that I’m from a small town. To me, a small town is one of those places where, even if you don’t seem to fit in, everyone will still band together and help you when you need help, and that is such an amazingly powerful trait.
I am an apprentice chef, and some of my work can be seen in my gallery. I studied the culinary arts at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, and had one of the greatest experiences of my life. I learned so much, and had the chance to do so many wonderful things. Also, working in one of the best kitchens in the world has its perks as well. They were just remodeled with $3.5 million, and you can literally do anything in them, including live web-cast. In my time at NAIT, I cooked for international ambassadors, and helped to create huge, extravagant banquets. My favorite part of the kitchen is the Patisserie, or Pastry Kitchen, and I really think that I want to specialize in the patisserie arts.
I am also considering returning to college to study photography. Since I got my digital camera fairly recently, I’ve had this photography obsession, however I do still love my old SLR camera, and my mother’s two professional quality cameras, one of which is over thirty years old and is in perfect condition.
For the most part though, I want to do everything, because I don’t want to miss out on anything.
