This is a real problem because the Ark supposedly held two of all species on earth.The sheer amount of time it would take to collect the animals, including those in regions we still have difficulty getting to today, and the gathering of there native foods so as they wouldn't die on the trip should be reason alone that this Biblical Story should be taken as nothing more then a story. So, just how long would it take a couple of penguins to reach Antarctica, a three toed sloth to reach Central and South America.There are many cases like this and I could go on and on about them but I will only need these two to prove my piont.First though I think we need alittle background on where the Ark supposedly landed, Mount Ararat, wich is not particularly hospitable. This mount consists of two volcanic peaks-Great Ararat, rising to 5,122 m(16,804 ft), and Little Ararat at 3,896 m(12,782 ft).The Ark landed on Great Ararat wich, as we know is 16,804 ft up.The treck for these animals would of been extremely dangerous just on the way down and more then likely quite a few fell off the ledges( Elephants and other large Mammalia would have had a very difficult time traversing the slick snow covered ledges).We must also take into account that these large mammalia such as Elephants may not of even been able to move about because of how thin the air is(When climbing Mount Everest ,wich is only 12,224 feet higher then Great Ararat, near the peak humans have to use oxygen masks to breath)Why did I bring this little point up?I did so because without those oxygen tanks we would almost surely die.You might also like to point out that thats Everest not G.Ararat.Well with the size of Elephants(wich the bigger you are the more oxygen you need) wouldn't make a difference wether they landed on G.Ararat or Everest becuase eather way the Elephants wouldn't of been able to take in enough oxygen to move let alone make a long, rigorous treck down a mountain(wich at times drops off at a 90 degree angle). The journey for these animals must have taken years, all the while trying to breed, trying to find food to their liking along the journey(wich would have been harder then the treck down the mount) since all plant life would have been destroyed in the flood, and be covered with layers of sedimentary buildup.The preditory animals would have had nothing to eat until there pray had birthed enough viable offspring(again while making the long, extremely dangerous journey to their native homelands and ecosystems) for the preditors to eat.(While ofcourse trying to make the treck themselves...).Many animals don't group together and when they do they only come together to procreate.Now unless all those animals copulated at the time of the exiting of the Ark, they would have to find each other at the right time(the ovulation cycle), while again trying to find food to eat in a deluged wasteland,and make there way to various parts of the globe, some of wich requiring a LONG swim across ocean waters to reach their island of choice(Australia, Galapagos Islands, Et cetera). I keep stressing the points of the making the treck and finding food because this would have been near impossible for animals that have never been near that territory to find food because they simply would not know were to search. Is there a timeline involved?A commonly asked question that has a simple answer, yes.If we were to fallow the Bible strictly like YEC's("Young Earth Creationists")do then the Bible gives us a timeline from the Garden of Eden to when the Old Testament was written to be around 7,000 years. Where did all the water reced to?Where's the sediment on the layer of the Earth when the flood supposedly took place?Both of these are inexplicably missing.We can see by looking at the Grand Canyon on the other hand and see that burrowing animals were still around before, during, and after the flood supposedly occured.How could these animals(oxygen breathing mammalia) do such a thing as burrow while under a atleast 30,000 ft of water?I've gotten replys that the water would have mixed the sediments and would have all settled back down making it look like nothing happenedand that it would of also mixed up animals so that it made it look like there were burrowing animals during the Flood.Unfortunately this does not explain why the sediment is missing because as the waters did recede they would have left sediment behind and if the Flood did mix up animals then we must also assume that bones of different era's would have been in the very same layer as them...But alas these animals all belonged to the same era.They where all were they were supposed to be( no Dino's to be found in the same geological era as these mammalia). If there was a flood it would be much more likely that it was a localized event instead of a global one.(Remember these people believed the earth to be flat, so a large local flood that killed many...Could make it seem like the whole world was flooded, they would be none the wiser that is was only a local flood.)
