Shadowheart hails from the depths of Ashe County North Carolina, not the most befitting place for any kind of metal, but their disposition allows them to create music that is very unique. It all started when long time friends Patrick Hogan and Lorenzo Greene decided to write music together. They went through many line up changes and band names in the past. Most notable of these were Luminarium, a group that Patrick branched of with consisting of him on guitar, Brenden Hearrell on vox, and the Calhoun Bros., Matt on drums and Justin(Tubby) on bass. Lorenzo joined them about two months after they formed. After a few great shows, Brendan, Patrick, and Lorenzo decided to leave the Calhoun Bros. for other musical endeavors. Brendan played bass and vox, Lorenzo played guitar and back up vocals, and Patrick played guitar. The line up wasn't complete, so they looked for a drummer and a key boarder. The drummer is now Toryn Little, but they have yet to find a key boarder suitable for their style. The band name, Shadowheart came from one of the names Patrick and Lorenzo had used in the past. For their upcoming demo, Cliffs of Madness, Brenden will be doing lead vox on most of the songs, and Lorenzo will be doing all of the clean vox. With new songs on the horizon, Lorenzo will be taking over as lead vocalist. That is the only change since Toryn had joined the band as drummer. Shadowheart hopes to pique your interest in metal like it never has been before. They want to bring great music to the fans that supported them during the hard times. Matt Calhoun has been recently added back to the line up as drummer.
