Hi. My name is Alex. I also go by my stage name of Rage Maion. I'm a Pisces. I enjoy long walks on the beach... of the Lake of Fire. Tall, dark, and scary. I pride myself on who I am. I'm not egotistical... I just like who I've become over the years. Now, as for describing myself, I guess I should start at the beginning.

Spiritual-

This section is a bit harder. I've studied several different organized religions, including but not limited to Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Islam, Wicca/paganism, darker path religions, the polytheistic cultures of Egyptians, Norse, Romans, Greeks, Native Americans, Chinese, Japanese, and others I'm sure I'm missing right now. The closest to what I believe is found in Wicca. I believe that the Higher Power presents itself to different people in different ways. If you only look at the overall concept of all religion and belief structures, you will notice they aren't all too dissimilar. I see "GOD" as a mutli-faceted gem. Different religions see different side. Some religions even have one "facet" further broken down so as to have different aspects represented by different beings. I myself don't worship "HIM" through one of those facets that so many theists argue about, always trying to convince theirs is the true face of "GOD". I say that they are all correct in that their view IS the Higher Power, but they are wrong that other religions views aren't. Organized religions have it right and wrong at the same time. But the good thing is, THAT is the very reason "HE" has all those different faces... So that EVERYONE can come to know "HIM" in some way. Not everyone is willing to accept someone else believes. Therefore, in order to waylay exclusion, "HE" is every god. I realize that what I've just written might stir up some debates, but I welcome them. I am always open to hear new perspectives. School-

I graduated from Paradise Valley High school in 2003. Went to Paradise Valley Community College for a year before I went off to Marine Boot camp. I didn't get all the way through boot before I was discharged on section 8 (I'm apparently crazy... Ask me about it sometime). I came back home on March 14th, 2005. It was my 21st birthday and the best one I've ever had. [EDIT: This last birthday I had was equally as wonderful if not for the same reasons. In short, I have some of the best friends anyone could ask for.] I spent the next year getting back on my feet and started at ITT on March 13th, 2007. I am going for my Associates (and then Bachelors) in Applied Science- Computer And Electronics Engineering Technology. I will be done in about a year (another 2 years for the BA). Then, I plan on staying in to get my Associates in both computer programming and networking, as well.

Interests-

My passion is music. Nothing tops it. I plan on trying to make a life of being a musician, but realize how difficult it is to get into the music industry and how hard it is to stay in once your foot's in the door. That is the reason I am getting my degree now. I would have no problem being the starving artist, but I want to be able to support a family as well, one day. I will chase my dreams, while keeping my feet attached to the ground. I am a vocalist and write lyrics as well. I want to be able to learn piano and guitar, so as to be able to write music better, but don't have the time available at this time.

I also enjoy reading very thoroughly. I read constantly, whenever I have time. I tend towards high-fantasy type novels. Favorite authors include Robert Jordan, Terry Goodkind, L.E. Modesitt, Jr., George R.R. Martin, and others. I also like to read (and write) poetry, as well. I find more enjoyment in darker poetry like Poe, Plath, Shelley, and Wilde. I also like poets like E.E. Cummings and, of course, Shakespeare.

Another thing I've found myself fond of is SCA. I have become a perspective for Secret Thunder. Most of you will know what SCA is, but for those that don't, SCA stands for Society for Creative Anachronism. Basically, it is taking a piece of history and transplanting it to the modern age. I suggest to ANYONE that has ever felt as if they seem to be in the wrong time in history, look into the SCA. You may just find your place as well as I did. I have the site linked in my profile links. Find out what barony and kingdom you belong to, as well as where and when there are meeting in your area. It has become a large part of who I am and hopefully for you as well.
