The Proton 42 project began in the year 2006 AD, after creator C. Janssen encountered a powerful visual tracking application that worked through programming code, creating music through samples and waveforms. Before the project began, Janssen had become fascinated with electronic piano keyboards as well as their associated terms and theory in his own time, writing simple melodies and rhythms at an early age.
The music of Proton 42 is a unique blend of many dark electronic styles such as Braindance, Ambient, Darkwave, EBM, Industrial, Trance and IDM, although Janssen has described his music as Transhumanist Electronica. After studying music like his own, Janssen later realised that his music fits the genre of Braindance perfectly. The direction of Proton 42 is to write music for technologically advanced future generations. Over time, Proton 42 has developed a small global following of fans who remain incredibly diverse and open minded to Janssen's vision of music for the future.
Proton 42 often conveys a short story regarding the happenings within it's personal life, although the storys are often as simple as "A man walks down the street". In regards to track names and how certain tracks sound emotionally, much is left to each indiviual listener's own interperetation.
Will I ever make a new layout? Who knows?
Proton 42 is currently looking for underground labels in the Barrie and Toronto area that he can personally send demo CDs to. If you have any information regarding a single label in my area then please let me know as soon as possible! Proton 42 is always open for interviews for internet and magazines, just so long as they are serious productions.
