So this the the about me section of my profile. I'm going to keep it short because, honestly, I can't stand reading boring shit about a band that nobody asked. A few things about me: I'm a computer nerd, which is where most of my other activities stem from. This would be music, photography & wasting away playing video games. Other things I enjoy would require you to get to know me better and for big brother to not be watching.

Disclaimer—The following is gonna maybe be a couple pages (at most) of writing and is devoid of pretty pictures, but I assure you is worth your time to read and consider. (Besides, it gives you something to do while listening to my music).

I'm also very political. As is everyone else regardless of whether they realize it. What I mean is, if you have strong opinions about anything—morally, socially, or economically—there's something that's currently actively going against them via state legislation.

I think people have just been convinced politics are hopeless and difficult to comprehend in order to dissuade people from voting to shift the power a little bit—another driving force intended to deconsolidate power of the average, impoverished citizen.

I will now explain how they split the power in order to continuously prevent change: Most serious acts of legislation require a 2/3 majority vote in the Senate and House to pass a bill into law. This is where the convenience of a nearly two-party system in the US comes in handy.

People of the the lower and middle economic classes tend to agree on the same economic & social welfare programs as being something we see as not only good, but a necessity for the security of everyone who is going to be an old fuck someday.

We've all agreed that we like trash pickup, public parks, public roads, fire stations, hospitals and nicely funded, competitive schools.

What we haven't agreed on are social issues: whether homosexuals should be able to be treated like human beings and if women should be told what to do with their bodies. (As you can see I have a blatant bias about these specific issues, but don't let that set you astray from my point).

Both Democrat & Republican representatives & senators tend to vote along their own party lines no matter what. (Which, you can imagine in a world that isn't just black & white, this probably doesn't work so well for positive change, or any change for that matter). Democrats have aligned with gays and women (despite doing nothing for them actually) and republicans align against them (openly, since they have to be the polarized version of the Democrats to divide power on this issue).

Now, finally to tie in what the entire point of all of this was: The parties also have divisions along the lines of taxes, welfare and a bunch of other bullshit. So, despite both lower and working class democrats & republicans all desiring the same thing (cheaper standard of living, higher wages, more rights, abolishment of the Patriot Act, less fascist drug laws, less censorship, cheaper cost of higher education, health care reform, maybe a little fucking justice for once? etc.)

However, the politicians who tend to fight the hardest against gays and women also do nothing to vote for legislation that will help poor stupid racist rednecks if only they weren't tricked into voting against their own interests.

So, now that you understand why legislation is so utterly hopeless to change right now. This is also why, even if you vote in the douches who will attempt to repeal abortion laws federally or gas the gays, nothing will change anyway. There's still roughly half opposing it.

On one last note, if you're wondering how all this terrible spying legislation got passed, it's a byproduct of the only elasticity in congress: democrats ability to be spineless and vote for horrible things like the Patriot act.

If you make under $100,000US/year, your economic opinions on what tax measures are good for you and nearly everyone else, are directly the opposite of what any television-based news network has to say. Seriously.

They really don't want a government that would work in the favor of the average. We would lower the fuck out of our own taxes and raise the fuck out of the ultra-rich (I'm talking those who make millions per year, pay no taxes, and own the fucking news networks). That's why it's so transparent as to why taxing the rich is "bad".

Taxing the fuck out of the ultra-rich would be bad if they already paid taxes or in some way reinvested money into the society they collectively fucked to get that money. Oh wait, that's right, they just compulsively hoard it... then pass it on to their child. Kind of fucks the shit out of the idea of "earning" money huh? Kind of makes you think it's bullshit to be told you can do anything a country with the 400 richest people in this country controlling 50% of its' wealth, huh?

It's all a fucking lie to either get people complacent & dumb enough with spying, Facebook and electronic widgets to keep us buying shit, or imprison anyone who has any ideas of free thought. The longer people deny it, the worse it's gonna get.

Hopefully that was in some way enlightening. Now you see we have to stop the stupid divisions before we can ever hope to change anything.

All music of mine is free. That's right, no strings attached, no bullshit. I grew up poor as fuck and I never could afford music, so I'll never charge anyone for mp3s of the music.
