Profile:

I'm known in places as Lazarus. I have blond hair and blue eyes. I am 75 inches tall and slender. I am a charismatic and enigmatic person who likes to explore every kind of art I can. I find myself to be many things from a writer to a philosopher. I am big on Romanticism and I like to study philosophy from the past and different religions regarding nature. I'm here to meet intelligent and like-minded people. Any other details you may want to know, ask me personally.

Real History: Ancient Gothic

The Goths were one of the most important "barbarian" tribes responsible for the downfall of the Roman Empire and the politics of early Medieval Europe. By the 4th century CE, the Goths were becoming Christianized. At this time, the Goths wrote their language using their version of the Futhark alphabet, but it was deemed to be a pagan invention.

Instead, Bishop Wulfila (or Ulfilas), a Greek missionary responsible for the conversion of the Goths to Christianity, took the Greek alphabet, added letters from Latin and Futhark alphabets, and created a new alphabet to write the Gothic language.

Note that there are two letters that don't stand for any sounds. This is because they were adopted from Greek only for their numeric value. The Classical Greek alphabet doubled as a number system, and each letter had a number associated with it.

The Gothic alphabet continued this tradition, and so in the case of Gothic, the first row of letters have numeric values of 1 to 9, the second row from 10 to 90, and the third row from 100 to 900.

The Goths spoke a Germanic language, and it is unique not only in that it is the earliest documented Germanic language, but also in that it is the only language in a completely separate branch of the Germanic family unrelated to any other surviving Germanic languages.

In most of Europe, the Gothic alphabet and language slowly faded into obscurity by the 9th century CE. The Gothic language survived in the Crimea but it too became extinct around the 17th century CE.

Interests

Beauty comes in many forms, two main states. Light and dark. Having both within your self is chaotic. The Gothic culture and way of life, Gutiska the Gothic language are ancient roots of the modern dark beauty.

Intelligence is a beauty. Chess, dark poetry, and other similar sorts of literature, all kinds of art, and self-expression are beautiful aspects of a mind. Victoria Frances portrays these ever so well in paint; the darkness of tender expression.

Paganism, the elements, the Sabbats, Sorcery, and Witchcraft is a darkness of magical extent, a mystical beauty captivating and uplifting the sense of divinity. Mystics, psychic abilities, psychokinesis, precognition, psychic development, divination, creative visualization, psychic protection, parapsychology, hypnosis, and astral projection, dreams, spirits, ghosts and past lives are "dark" interests.

Nighttime, dark skies, thunder and lightning, storms, heavy and light rain, snow express nature's darker elegance and wrath, the beauty is cloaked to some eyes, only those who are blinded to its realism. The natural wonders, ancient civilizations, Earth's mysteries, crop circles, miracles, mystic places explore the wonder of undiscovered possible beauties.

The Medieval, Middle, Dark ages, and Victorian, Elizabethan, and Edwardian periods are great times of beauty and elegance. Their architecture, castles, cathedrals and other complexes, clothing and beautiful attire were the physical expressions of these.

The saga of time's past, anthropology, archaeology, legend, and prehistory all explain things of the past, to learn and to not repeat. History does and it's best to not fall in a stupid time warp. Things like astronomy teach the future and the state of our existence to the rest. It includes time and space itself, endless infinities coexisting.

The Universe is everything that physically exists: the entirety of space and time, all forms of matter, energy and momentum, and the physical laws and physical constants that govern them. In a well-defined, mathematical sense, the universe can even be said to contain that which does not exist; according to the path-integral formulation of quantum mechanics, even unrealized possibilities contribute to the probability amplitudes of events in the universe.
