Profile: Hi, I'm Jess, and I'm not here to impress you. My bed is never made, I drink straight from the bottle, I don't wash my makeup off before bed, I have strange eating habits, I write messages and letters that I never send, my fingernails are always dirty, and I'm usually worried about something or have too much on my mind.I want to do something strange with my life. Being a Mortician isn't good enough. I want to own a clock repair shop where I stare at these numbers every day. These numbers that run our lives. Maybe I'll be a janitor sometime in some enormous cooperate building where I can watch the stone faces of society pass in and out of revolving doors all day. I'll walk in on a young woman, pale faced, pursed lips, mascara tear stains on the back of her hands, as she weeps about something totally relevant to what we know; her children, her husband, her job, her health, her life in general. Maybe I will just spend too many years in some expensive college studying business in hopes of becoming one of these conformists with their ironed suits and stiff pencil skirts just so I can place my palms against the heavy oak table, stand, and scream until my esophagus ruptures. I'll scream until the toupee falls off the polished head of the man standing at the Power Point screen and scream until every glass surface of this discussion room is shattered or scratched with my fury for something different. Maybe I'll grow old and live like a homeless man on some seemingly distant shore.. collecting drift wood and seashells and making mugs and pictures and table pieces for people. I'll smell of the sea and my hair will be stiff and dry with the salt. My fingers constantly bleeding and burning and every wrinkle from the sun will be graced with shadows that run seemingly miles deep. A geography of the dunes I scour until my last breath. I'm pretty nice and enjoy talking with people. (even though Im shy at first) I'll almost always comment back.
