About Me

Welcome, I see that you found my profile. There's really not much to see here, but I'll try to feed your net-surfing needs. *wink* I'm Robin, and (here comes the labeling...) I consider myself a goth (*sarcasm on* BECUZ i READZ IT ON TEH INTURWEBZZ!!1 *sarcasm off*), and have been for almost 2 years now (2009), so I don't consider myself an expert on the subject, but I'm a real sucker for learning more about subcultures in general. Right, I promise I'll never mention the label further on in the profile, because it's not something I want to brag about (why would anyone do that?). Right, I go to school, third year in, what we call in swedish, "gymnasium" (curse our school system) and currently studying media. I was at first aiming for becoming a journalist, but I gave up on that and concentrated on something I liked more: educating people! So after this I go to university and study the teacher program. One definite subject that I'm going to teach is english, because I really consider english my main language, even surpassing swedish, because I use it all day. I know my english isn't perfect, but that's what you get for being swedish. My second subject as a teacher will probably be history, because I really like the past, so much of it (obviously!) affected the present, and it's interesting to see what factors made the most impression. Language is something I have real easy for, and it's always interesting with new languages and countries. As I said before, I'm a sucker for cultures and I'm fascinated by how the traditions and such vary from country to country. I also enjoy reading and writing, both poetry and books. Mainly I stick to horror, fantasy and science-fiction related literature, because I prefer them, but I can sometimes read outside these if I get recommended some piece that I find appealing. I used to paint and take photographs too, being in the media program at school, but that just seems to be less frequent now than ever on my spare time. I hope I'll get back on that in the future, lol.

Music If you're only here to see my band list, keep scrolling... But what I want to talk about here is my relation to music. I don't just enjoy listening, I enjoy creating. I've played bass for almost three years, hopefully improving, and I've created some songs and lyrics on the computer. I think I have a band coming up soon with my girlfriend, boy friend (notice the space!) and a drum machine, lol! The name isn't clear yet though, but we'll probably play some post-punk/darkwave/electronic/experimental crap, cover yer ears! Movies Sticking true to mostly horror flicks, but a couple of other great genres too, some of my favourite movies are: Evil Dead, Evil Dead II: Dead By Dawn, Hellraiser, Star Wars, Return of the Living Dead, Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride, Edward Scissorhands, Night of the Living Dead, Dracula (1931), Resident Evil (all three), Resident Evil: Degeneration (animated), Land of the Dead, Interview With the Vampire, Creepshow, The Midnight Meat Train, The Hunger, and more... Literature Books: The Hellbound Heart, Books of Blood, the Vampire Chronicles, The Works of the Late Edgar Allan Poe Volume 1, Death Note, War of the Ancients trilogy, Shadow of the Xel'Naga, Queen of Blades, The Last Guardian, Trilogin om Frihetskrigen, Dracula, Frankenstein, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Writers: Clive Barker, Anne Rice, Edgar Allan Poe, Niklas Krog, Jeff Grubb, Richard A. Knaak, Mary Shelley, Bram Stoker, Robert Louis Stevenson. |

Fanatics I have nothing against religion, quite frankly, I actually study them from time to time, and no harm against their followers. But don't come to my doorstep, trying to bash in your religions and ideologies into my head! If I want to learn, I'll look it up myself, sheesh! That only goes for ideologies and religions, anything else is fine to teach me on if I find it interesting. Just don't try to force it into me, I believe in what I want. Ignorant people "That's too much to read!", "I don't like reading!", "Stop throwing hate at me!", blah, blah, blah! Are you kidding me? Seriously, if you just take your time to learn people won't call you stupid! Stop clinging to information which you have absolutely nothing to back it up with. Just admit that you're wrong, it's actually not that bad, I'm not perfect either, I can be wrong sometimes but at least I stand for it! Vampires No, not fictional vampires, those are awesome! I'm talking about "vampire people" in real life. Seriously, anyone who actually believe themselves be real vampires are fucking R-E-T-A-R-D-S! Buy something more sensible for your money than those vampire teeth... and don't ever, EVER message me going all vampiric... just DON'T! |
