MaGGoTh
Profile: PLZ RATE Dan, Rick, Kate, Lauren, Alyssa, and J3ss because they're one of the greatest friends you'll ever meet. Also just so you know, I'm taken by the most beautiful Polish girl - Kasia. I love her "do bolu" =). About me: Derek (aka: '#9' or 'MaGGoTh'). I'm Atheist, meaning: I don't believe that a God/Satan exists. I've got a scientific approach to everything concerning past. I'm anti-social (only in real) so I'm quiet most of the time unless I'm with my kind of people or I'm at concerts. In future I'm planning to make my band work called Gothedral. Right now we're going through some major changes. We really would like to bring European-style black metal scene (with death/grindcore metal touch) to our band's style. Currently we're concentrating on getting more members and creating our unique style. Anyway, if u wanna know more, then IM me (preferably on MSN) and I will surely respond. I'm pretty friendly (at least online XD) so don't be scared. Stay (sic). And please check out a cult meant FOR ME. My dear friend Hollie made it for some reason so if you want to be a part of my fanbase and become a MaGGoTh, feel free to join XD. Likes: KASIA!!! *MUAH*; Friends/family, Mu(sic); $$$; dark aesthetic of life; people who share similar interests with me; horror movies; going on concerts; headbanging; performing vocals & getting SIC (I still wish our band Gothedral will work in future); Halloween! (my favorite holiday XD); messing around with black/corpse make-up and fake/real blood; spiky things; working out; candies; good food; mature comics; shopping (music-related stuff); girls in latex (fetish); The X-Files (the only reason worth watching TV for me); playing keyboard; Wii & Xbox 360 systems;![]() Dislikes: Judgmental & stereotypical people; racism; sellout bands that will do anything for money; Creed and other creeps that sound like this lamer; it pisses me off how some really bad bands have so much attention, while others that sound ORIGINAL and not fucking EMO lose their chance to shine; most of the pop/punk/ghetto crap; EMO junk; homophobes; sexists; MOST of the Republicans; religions (it's what divides people...); Music Reviews section on this site really sucks...; crushes; animal abuse; domestic abuse; horrible remakes of classic movies (why the fuck would you remake something that's great?); sundays; boredom; fools who think they rule on the road with their precious little electric shavers, it's just like kids showing off their bicycles besides that these dumbfucks risk lives of others on road (I don't have sympathy for such people if they die in a road accident, I only have sympathy for the victims of their mindless road rage)![]() Favorite Music: #1. SLIPKNOT!!!!!!!!!|m/{-_-}|m/ (Well, what can I say? They're the first metal band that I really got into. I will ALWAYS love and respect Slipknot because of that. I don't listen to them as much now, barely if ever, but they will nevertheless be my #1 band. I don't give a fuck what others think about them, because Slipknot helped me get through a lot in my "teenie" years, heh. Plus, I haven't seen ANY other band putting such an amazing live show. EVERYTIME I see them they amaze me, fyi. I've seen them 4 times only. But yeah, I pay uttermost respect for them. FAV. TRACKS - I Am Hated, Eeyore [JUST LISTEN TO THE GUITAR RIFFS MAN!], Disasterpiece) #2. DIMMU BORGIR!!! (One of the first BM bands that I've got into. Truly amazing and inspirational band. I know they're big nowadays and all but they still keep it fucking good atmospheric black metal, unlike some other bands that got blinded by lots of cash and success *cough* COF *cough*. But anyways, Dimmu are the kings of extreme metal for me. Big horns for them |M|. FAV. TRACKS - Spellbound (By The Devil), Masses For The New Messiah, The Insight And The Catharsis) #3. LAMB OF GOD (Here we have MASTERS of guitars. I can't say enough about guitarwork in LOG. There are handful of bands who can outstand this band in their very complex technicality of guitar framework. These guys are kings in this stuff. Also their drummer is kickass too along with the singer. In my opinion Lamb Of God IS the successor to Slipknot in terms of putting an AMAZING LIVE show! Fuck, that's how I got to know them. When I saw them on Ozzfest they blew me away 100 miles!!! At first I thought they're some emo crappers like Atreyu who are trying to be metal [LOL!!!], but thankfully they weren't. I love their stance on the politics too, although they kinda backed down from it now since Bush got reelected... FAV. TRACKS - Blood Of The Scribe, Blacken The Cursed Sun, 11th Hour) #4. Moonspell (I haven't heard anything more "seducing" than Moonspell. Right from the start they bring you into another world and you just get lost in their varied melodies. Yes, Moonspell has a VERY varied style from album to album. I would never thought they would go so heavy as in their latest album called Memorial. Jeez, if you listen to "Sin Pecado", "Wolfheart", or even "Butterfly Effect", I doubt you would say it's the same band, maybe besides Fernando's distinctive vocals. But yeah, Moonspell fit perfectly between extreme and less heavy metal. I recommend "Sin Pecado" album especially. "Flesh" will eat your mind away! FAV. TRACKS - Flesh, Magdalene, Once It Was Ours) #5. Rammstein (Hail to the kings of industrial metal!!! I think Rammstein is one of the few bands that can make easily ANY listener of ANY kind of music to like them. Hell, my own mom loves them, especially tracks Engel and Du Hast. I wish I could see their amazing pyro live show. Didn't get they banned from playing in U.S. because of some Christian freaks getting "moral" over fake dildo that singer showed on stage? FAV. TRACKS - Du Hast, Morgenstern, Te Quiero Puta! [ROFLMFAO]) #6. Graveworm (Another band that does not deserve enough attention. Perfect music for rainy days where you get this strange but awe-inspiring feeling to just take a walk and philosophize. Heh, I doubt you guys know what I'm talking about. Anyways, Graveworm also makes UNDOUBTEDLY the BEST SONG COVERS I've ever heard. Just how can you NOT like "Losing My Religion" better than the original along with other covers? These guys have that amazing talent which I admire greatly. I can't wait for the new album. (N)Utopia kinda dissapointed so I hope this one is better. I don't like how the new songs sound. It's almost as if they made them for live shows, because I hear too much "chanting" as during live shows in the (N)Utopia. I hope they go back to some more atmospheric stuff that makes you escape from this cruel, boring, everyday world. FAV. TRACKS - Demonic Dreams, Nocturnal Hymns, Christian Woman (Type O Negative Cover) #7. Tidfall (Not a popular band which really confuses me... They're so fucking original in their style. They blend industrial and black metal so seamlessly it's almost like they created another unique subgenre of BM. I encourage EVERYONE who reads this to try out few tracks. If you're at least a fan of industrial the chances are pretty good you might like this great Norwegian BM band. I just wish they had more albums out :(. FAV. TRACKS - Hymn To Fall, Shining Serpent, Mercury Mesh) #8. Sear Bliss (This band is so amazing that you don't even need their whole discography, because one album just keeps you interested every time you hear it throughout! Now that's an excellent accomplishment. Their newer album "Glory And Perdition" proves my point. IT LITERALLY DOESN'T GET BORING EVERY time you listen to it! Lol, I gotta download rest of their discography, then I won't even have to listen to anything else. Hah, that'd be something. I highly recommend this Hungarian band to give it a try at least. FAV. TRACKS - Dreams Spectre, Glory To Perdition, Two Worlds Collide) #9. Cradle Of Filth (before Thornography) (*Very deep sigh* Eh... I've had SO MUCH respect for this band until Thornography. Even before, when I first heard Nymphetamine, I couldn't get into it until I heard the whole album. But this time, it's just impossible. They went WAY FUCKING too commercial in their sound. WTF were they thinking? I know Dani can't even do high-pitch like he used to, but shit, I don't fucking want him to sing! Plus, alongside HIM fag... The only track that reminds me of original COF was "Lovesick For Mina". But really the only song that stands out is all-instrumental "Rise Of The Pentagram" which is pretty sad... When the instrumental track is the best one in a COF album you know something is wrong... I was literally crying a little when I was listening to that instrumental track. It sounds like an ending in some chapter of the book or film. I think in this case it symbolizes the end of true COF. Shit, I wouldn't even mind if they kept Nymphetamine-style of songs. But this poppy, singing crap makes me wanna laugh at Dani and rest. Jeez, they should just leave singing for power and gothic metal bands. Dani is the FUCKING SELLOUT and he lost respect in my eyes along with rest of the COF. When I heard "Temptation" I thought I'll fucking cut all my veins out and become emo pussy from now on. Even at the start when I heard "Dirge Inferno" and one part broke into half-singing I became SHOCKED. Just WHAT THE FUCK were they thinking??????!??? Fucking disgusting... But I still love the old shit. FAV. TRACKS - From The Cradle To Enslave, The Black Goddess Rises II, Better To Reign In Hell) #0. Rotting Christ (Great blashpemic band. Too bad they canceled their tour cuz I really wanted to see them -_-. But anyway, they really have that kind of feel in their songs that they make you NATURALLY go and hail Satan. Their guitars have that unique tune that is easily recognizable and very catchy. The singer kicks ass and really polishes the songs the way they're supposed to be. They really know what they're doing. FAV. TRACKS - Fateless, Sanctus Diavolos, Time Stands Still) Fear Factory, Nile, Rage Against The Machine, Windir, Bloodthorn, Finntroll, Sonic Mayhem, Chimaira, Apocalyptica, Bishop Of Hexen, Daath, Chthonic, Stone Sour, Svartahrid, Behemoth, Mushroomhead, ...And Oceans, Cryptic Wintermoon, Vader, Belphegor, Marduk, Thy Serpent, Anorexia Nervosa, Anaal Nathrakh, Opera IX, Mayhem, Tartaros, Burzum, Mudvayne, Karl Sanders, Astarte, Hatebreed, Kamelot, Bleeding Through, Abaddon Incarnate, Arkhon Infaustus, Abandoned Grave, Cryptopsy, Dying Fetus, Prodigy, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, DevilDriver, Dark Throne, Moby, God Forbid, Wretched Asylum, 21 Lucifers, To My Surprise, various music scores & soundtracks.
