Profile

In the fall of 2004 in a downtown Denver loft a few longtime friends donning the volatile mixture of inebriation and instrumentation randomly, intently & capably wailed a twisted harmony into an old 8 track recorder unofficially giving birth to what they eventually dubbed “Less Than…”, 3 years later this outfit would survive as the Denver’s official un-band, the enigmatic; Less Than Angels. Less Than Angels has to date “…enjoyed a quiet life well away from the muck of it all.” No doubt their ardent reclusive-ness from both media spotlight and public attention has contributed largely to this. However, while expressing a sincere desire to remain in sub-radar shadows they have conveyed the message that they want to be heard. Finally breaking from the über-underground, Less Than Angels has set forth about completing their official debut album Fluent in Fatalism, due out in December 2007, a culmination of many cultural, stylistic, and ideological concepts in what would amount to a “…viscous and beautiful trainwreck of harmony and reason…”, as stated by front man Grant. “This album was an easy go of a much tougher decision in whole...”, as put by Aoife, “…we were not all too sure about going public on a large scale… We just needed to get [our music] out there...” Laden with powerful lyrics and infectiously hard-edged melodies in the company of a dark overtone, Fluent in Fatalism is a rollercoaster journey into humanity’s both carnal and fragile nature. A stylistic triumph being applauded as a dynamic, at times almost symphonic collection infused with the grit of industrial grunge, and as an utter powerhouse of energy and emotion guaranteed to please. All in all the vaguely ethereal, raw energy of the group leaves none to want. It is evident that Less Than Angels is a driving force that will captivate the mind, invade the soul and steal the heart.
