LORD TOPH: Mesmerized LORD TOPH "The Cvre" The History of LORD TOPH shall remain a mystery for many throughout the folds of time. As good friend and confidant, I have found him, as well as his nature to be nothing short of a "puzzling confound." I believe I can be correct in saying this. For a "confoundedness" does not seem to be the state of being for which I am describing, in relation to Lord Toph. He himself, is the puzzle... and is so, much to the opposition of how he would appear to be commonly to others. As one individual once stated about him, "you must first know him, to actually see who he is." I believe this opinion drawn from a random perception and experience to be accurate. Because it makes perfect sense... and it is exempt of any subliminal or metaphorical connotations. Stating it plainly, the man is an enigma of sorts. But, beyond the call of compliment do I use this word in order to describe him. Over the years I have watched him evolve from a young older man, to an old, yet younger man. He has come from being a unique individual, and has grown into being... how should one say? Perhaps pleasurably unusual is more of the way to describe him. It has been rather unusual in a sense when reflecting back on my past with him as a friend. One can't help but to find one's self at constant question with whether or not it, that, or he is actually who he claims to be. But he does so claim without any words. And therefore, without any doubt it is apparent, and very real for those of us who know... who Lord Toph truly is. All one actually needs to do, is pay close attention. Each individual of course chooses their own course in how they may develop and express their lifestyle. But his is by no means a chosen lifestyle. It truly is his life. As I reflect, I can recall many a night on various occasions when I would sit and visit with him as he worked in a frenzy of furious fervor while still maintaining an in depth conversation..... and without abandoning any particular topic. Though at times when he would allow himself to meander to and fro, in and out, or even back and forth from detail to detail..... he would only do so to expatiate the subject. It always seemed to make the mention of simple things more fascinating, and far more interesting in their ordinary appeal. Could this be part of his "gift" perhaps?... or was it just that he was exceptionally sensitive to even the finest of details? I used to ponder over this question of him. I don't anymore. For I know him now. I have been shown how to feel what he may have felt decades upon decades before. The picture he paints with his mind is far more brilliant than the many he has brought to canvas. I have spent splendid times indeed with this relic of a man. There have also been times in which I have felt sympathy and sorrow for his exhausted spirit. Fortunate and blessed he is with an abundance of talent, yet cursed he has become to express it..... for seldom does he rest. At a constant battle with himself to suppress an unexplainable hunger, he progresses further into the obscurity within himself which he feels shall be his own demise. The creative and the constant is his only sedative. Clearly he appears to be bound by some insatiable energy of some ethereal form of "being" which lies mysteriously outside the realm of my own comprehension. But, hasn't it been said before that beauty is often bound to tragedy? If this concept is considered truth, then I have been entertained, and befriended by the purest element of this manifestation. The sound of LORD TOPH's music began to make a dramatic change as his desire to express his "ancient nature" became more prevalent. The songs that you will currently hear on his page were composed and recorded prior to his "coming into himself", and also before receiving his lordship. You will find LORD TOPH'S current compositions taking more of a swing towards a somber note, and erotically rhythmic hues. Much of this material is due to be released in the winter of our current year. To help exemplify his sound, it would be clear to describe it as an intriguing feeling from perhaps some recent, or forgotten dream. Call it a hybrid if you will of concept, sight, and sound. In summary, LORD TOPH'S music is a colorful array of sound, in timeless terms of mystical logic combined in a sensually rhythmic musical montage. This might also befit the description of the music of LORD TOPH.

Time, the ancient, the winter, the rain, the fall, his muse, red wine, the night, his subject, his clan, his chosen, women, voices, falling leaves, and abstract sounds.
