Profile: Let our dream begin...    Kind greetings to thee, and welcome to my profile. I shall move on to explain a little about myself...  My name is Jack Wedeman (German surname so pronounced "vade-man"). I like to believe that I behave, dress and speak like a traditional gentleman. I am very dark and very romantic; my favorite style is that concerning traditional Gothic attire and manner. I am also very conscious that we dont live forever. My main motto is:  'Remember that you are mortal' Life and time are both precious commodities – don’t waste them. Instead yield unto thyself and let all thy desires, feelings and dreams flow from thine heart and mind. I bid thee to cherish the moments of thy life as do I... Therefore also remember:  'Seize the day!' I regard myself a courteous, thoughtful and deep-minded young man. I treat all people with my own form of genuine reverence, and women with the respect and true admiration they deserve. That said, I like to use many of the lovely social etiquettes of the past centuries, such as how a gentleman giveth a lady his arm whilst walking together, and kisses her hand upon greeting. A rose for my Pale Enchantress...  ...whomever she may be. 'Veritas, Credo et Caritas' *Kisses her deeply* X-X-X I feel that an individual has so many thoughts, opinions and feelings that it would be simply impossible to write them all out on a single page. I could happily relax here in the candlelit dark and type for hours. However I hope that this page can offer thee a small insight into me, my interests and the way I live my life. These are my many interests and favorite things that illustrate my own character... Classical/Trad Goth attire (Waistcoats, corsetry etc) Gothic Romanticism (Candles, roses and vampiric passion) Absinthe (La Fée Parisienne is my favourite)  Poetry and dark Literature (Edgar, Byron, Swift etc) Macabre Stories and Adult Fearytales (James Herbert, Stephen King, Lovecraft etc) Cemeteries and Castles (York has many such lovely places) Black and White Photography (Always carry a camera with you =) Learning and playing the Piano (I have to tutor myself)  Midnight and Moonlit walks (So beautiful and breathtaking) Elegance, Beauty and Art (There is much to admire in the world) Philosophy and the Esoteric (Two of my many passions) The Phantom of the Opera ("Listen to the music of the night!")  Writing my own Verse and Prose (Adult poetry strictly for the darkly inclined...) Nature and Tranquility (Sound of water and smell of bedewed grass) Melancholic and Romantic Music (Litanies of death, damnation and the darkly erotic…)  Reading books and learning new things (Knowledge is the greatest power) Appreciation of Life and Death (How long do you have left?) My own Spiritual Darkness (Vivere Disce, Cogita Mori!) Dislikes: I am not fond of listing the things I dislike, for I am certain that everyone could write down their dislikes until they turned to dust. That said, I have attempted to list the things that incur my wrath... With silence and tears?" -Lord Byron Favorite Music: My musical taste resides mainly in the Gothic and Symphonic genres of metal. I love pianos, violins, choirs, sopranos and music which is dark and/or romantic. I also like classical music. My CD collection contains: Theatre of Tragedy (Pre-1999), Cradle of Filth (Pre-2002), Tristania, Lacrimosa, My Dying Bride, Elis, Sopor Aeternus, Sonata Nocturna, Autumn Tears, Virgin Black, Dreadful Shadows, Theatres des Vampires, Nightwish, Within Temptation, The Sins of Thy Beloved, Leaves Eyes, Sirenia, Epica and too many more to list.
