I'm a geek at heart - my job is essentially helping people deal with technology. If I could plug into the Matrix tomorrow, I would but I understand why most people are scared shitless of most things tech.

My interests range wide and the existence of the Internet does not help. I read voraciously and yet I most often feel as though I'm drinking from a fire hydrant.

I'm open to just about anyone provided you've got something interesting to say. Be anything but boring.

Intellect.
The ability to hold two contradictory thoughts at one time.
You read Siddhartha and went for days after finishing it with a slight smile on your face...
Readers: books - fiction AND non-fiction, The Economist, interesting blogs, anything.

Dislikes:
Orthodoxy.
Dogmatism.
Disingenous intellectuals.
The spineless.

Favorite Music:

Easier to answer what I do NOT like: most rap. Honestly, I just cannot get into most of it at all.

And for someone who enjoys Western classical, jazz, Sigur Ros, Lady Gaga, London After Midnight, Wagner's operas, Dropkick Murphy's, Wolfsheim, Beethoven, the blues, Muse, Nox Arcana, gamelan, Kitaro, Crystal Method, Royksopp, Wumpscut, Goldfrapp, Dolly Parton, Iris, Rammstein, Vivaldi....you get the idea. There's just not much I don't like.

I would've liked to catch TBD, but NYC is 3.5 - 4 hours away so it's kind of an 'event' when I go there for a show. Speaking of which, Accessory & Dismantled will be at Gramercy on April 27th. I'm probably going to go to that unless they book something in MA or CT.

I don't know much VNV Nation, but I do love the song Further.
