Born in an orphanage Jeph grew up quick. He traveled around with the circus at the age of 6 and was part of the amazing Gambize's trapeze act. After witnessing his mentor plummet to his death attempting the unthinkable triple axle blindfolded one arm spin he ran away from the circus life. Living on the streets for a few years he was taken in by a rabbi assassin who trained him to kill. This is where he earned his name Jeph the Jew. While the rabbi was away on "business" Jeph was kidnapped by gypsies and sold off to work aboard Captain James Trachel's pirate ship. Where he found himself sailing across the ocean and robbing unwary travelers at sea. This is also where Jeph was introduced to the world of tattooing. Captain James had him tattoo all the slaves and humans he was trafficking. During a short stop in shanghai Jeph was able to get away and was taken in by the Solang dojo where he traded his tattooing services for training in the deadly arts. After a savage raid his master was brutally murdered by a masked samurai warrior. Vowing to avenge his master Jeph was able to track the samurai to Boca Raton, Florida. Where Jeph now works his craft of tattooing by day to fund his search at night seeking the vengeance of his Master.
