Gallery Friend Me Journal Comment/Rate My name is Jamie, if you hadn’t already guessed. I’m not sure how to write this about me, I’ve changed a lot this past year, thankfully for the better.
I’m twenty-one years old, single and currently living in Ellesmere Port in England, but pretty much my entire family is either from Liverpool, or Australia. I tend to overly worry and apologize way too often, still working on my confidence.
I’m a complete dork, I love video games, my favourite ones though are from the early 90s when I used to play them with my Dad on his Amiga (Monkey Island, Sam & Max, Simon the Sorcerer), if any of you can actually remember those. Similarly dorkish with movies, I adore Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Back to the Future, Mainly because they all remind me of when I was younger, but I still adore them to this day. However I really love Wes Anderson’s films, every one of them.
My music taste is pretty consistent these days, My favourite band is The Shins, they’re genuinely lovely. Other bands I love are Voxtrot, Mock Orange, Coconut Records, The Beatles, The Smiths, Lightspeed Champion and Sunset. I also adore lyric less music where you really just lie back and listen to it all, makes you think about all the things you’ve done, how a lot of it really doesn’t matter. How things can always improve.
I’m not one of those people who are going to lie to you, and tell you that I don’t care what you think of me, I honestly do. I like to make people happy, you should just treat others how you want to be treated.
My perfect day would simply be lying on the grass on a nice afternoon staring at the clouds with someone. I honestly love simple things, I’d quite happily love a night in watching a film on the couch. Although I am a complete wimp, I get so jumpy with scary films (Secret - I lower the volume on scary parts and get ready to hide so I don’t jump as badly.)
