What can I say about myself that will not make me sound like a complete narcissist? While I am rather shy and suck at socializing, once one gets to know me they say how friendly and kind I can be. I try to treat others with respect, how I'd like myself to be treated, but I do have a sense of humor. I have an odd and often morbid sense of humor, though I try not to make it offensive to any parties involved.
My tastes I suppose can be described as rather eldritch(totally just used that as an excuse to use that word 8D); in general I like things that are spooky, ethereal, and rather dark. Among my favorite things are art(the weirder and darker the better), photography, comic books, toys, video games, science fiction in general, cyberpunk, horror, mecha, tokusatsu, poetry, books, music, and many other things I may have forgotten.
My musical tastes are rather eclectic, but by no means limited; my favorite genres are gothic rock, darkwave, deathrock(not to be confused with death metal), new wave, punk rock, EBM, synthpop/futurepop, synth rock, some industrial, indie, shoegaze, garage rock, and many other styles. While I try not to limit myself, I often find I do not like most mainstream music that most others like, though I by no means disrespect others' tastes(though I will tease friends). In general I try not to limit myself when it comes to language in my music, so I'll often get the odd looks from friends when they hear my music in languages such as German, Russian, Japanese, Spanish, or others. I generally do not like overly angry music, or music that screams, so I'm generally not a fan of metal, hardcore, hard rock, or similar genres(though there are certainly exceptions to the rule).
