Profile: My name is Linda. I’ve written and rewritten this pro of mine over and over again. I’m just terrible at making up my mind. My interests are constantly changing as does who I am, therefor I find it hard to describe myself. But luckily there are certain aspects of myself that last a little longer than three months or so. First of all, I’ve always been a dreamer, people may think it’s just a waste of time ( as do I sometimes), but it’s part of who I am. I love to make up my own realities, varying from extravagant and romantic to cold and sterile, and many realities in between. And once again I point out my inability to choose for just one thing. But I like it that way, I don’t want to close any doors. These realities I’m talking about are mostly about clothes, I guess I played a little to much with my barbies when I was young, but I just love to dress up. Designing, sewing, creating an atmosphere with clothes... love it. That’s why I study fashion at the art academy in Maastricht. So maybe one day you’ll walk around in one of my designs (and don’t think I’m designing typical goth clothes). And this is another aspect of me that has always been and always will be... my creativity. I love to draw, design, sew, sing and just work with my hands (and voice) and come up with new things. I’m always working on myself, to get better at the things I do. I hate to stay still and do nothing, and this doesn’t include dreaming, which is also part of a creative process. Doing nothing would be a waste of the short amount of time we get in life. I really don’t want to die regretting I didn’t do more with the time I had. I really do love who I am , but I’m never satisfied, there’s always more things to do, to get better at, to grow at and of course to have. But don’t think I’m a workaholic or something I take plenty of time to enjoy my life... Concerning romance, I’m very much in love with my boyfriend Maxim (mxbyte). I’m so glad we found each other. It feels as if my heart swells up whenever I think of him. Likes: 1. things I like to do: - designing and making clothes, been doing it since I was 16 or so. I’m glad I have improved a lot since I fist started, now I can make everything I want. - making hairfalls - to find new things and materials - drawing - singing ( I’m a soprano, I used to sing in church choirs, but I stopped when I turned 18, didn’t have enough time anymore, but I would love to have my own band some day) - partying, and I don’t mean getting drunk, I don’t do that, though I do drink alcohol. I don’t smoke by the way, I’d rather spend the money on something useful. - dancing, I love to make my body move, it makes me feel more alive. - hanging out with good friends. - going to festivals, though I haven’t been to many yet. - Shopping of course just like any other woman. - making love with my boyfriend, I just can’t get enough of him - dressing up, doing my make-up and playing model. 2. other people’s art: - Books (ann rice, poppy z. Brite, HP, Phantom of the Opera, LotR, Fruits) - movies (howl’s moving castle, phantom of the opera(my all time favorite), Memoires of a Geisha, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Cry baby, all of Tim Burton’s movies, Quills, Swept from the sea, Disney movies( I love fairytales), Romeo and Juliet, Moulin Rouge, The league of extraordinary gentlemen, Interview with the Vampire, Queen of the Damned, Practical Magic, Lemony Snicket, Hocus Spocus, Final Fantasy Advent Children, Labirinth, Casper, Adams Family, The Craft, Sense and Sensibility(and other costume dramas), Devdas (bollywoodmovie) ......... and of course many more - anime (GTO, bleach, chobits, elfenlied, samurai champloo, shinobu, trinity blood, Death Note, Neon Genesis Evangelion, DNAngel, and many more I haven’t seen yet, I’m sure I’ll love them) love to watch them with my boyfriend and the girlie ones with Astrid. - Yaoi.....^^ Ai No Kusabi, pappa to kiss in the dark, gakuen heaven, loveless, Sukisho, haru wo daiteite, okane ga nai, bronze&zetsuai, Fujimi orchestra, sensitive pornograph (makes me wanna be a guy and be gay) - art + photography ( Viona, Nadya Lev, Amy Brown, Erwin Olaf, Linda Bergkvist, Giger, Mariko Mori, Manga-art (Hyung Tae Kim) - designers (alaxander Mc Queen, John Galliano, Vivienne Westwood, Alice Auaa, H. Naoto) 3. feelings and nature: - snow, looking at it while listening to the Edward Scissorhands soundtrack - to be in a melancholic mood - incense ( the ones in the blue package that says ‘nag champa’) - red and golden leaves falling down trees as you walk by. - enormous landscapes that make you feel small - to have my boyfriend give me a massage - music that gives me goosebumps - Rain and stormy weather when it’s cosy and warm inside or when I’m in a spooky mood. - Sunshine, though I avoid getting a tan. - Morning mist and dewy spiderwebs, though not the spiders, ieeek. - philosophy, I have my moments when I like to think and rethink about life and it’s aspects. 4. fashion and style: - modelling ( so far I’ve modelled for the Babashop, Sinister, Faerytale fashion and for a woman who made her own jewellery and of course for myself for fun) - fake eyelashes, pale skin, blood-red lips and dramatic eye make-up. Though I love the natural look with the rosy cheeks and twinkling eyes as well. - perfume ( jean paul gaultier ‘classique’ and Dior ‘hypnotic poison’) - to be photographed on the street and during festivals, I’m usually proud at how I look. - twinkling thingies, I never wanted the peeing dolls when I was young, I only played with barbies. I did have a baby doll, but it twinkled when it got it’s bottle and wore make-up. -Shoes, all sorts of em. - Japanese stuff, I’m liking it more and more. I love the happy and cute stuff as much as the bizarre and creepy. I adore Hello Kitty, Fruits and Lolita stuff, though I wouldn’t wear it, I’ll make my own version of lolita fashion. And I love the aristocratic Mana style, as well as the kinda casual J-rock style. I’m just really fond of Japanese fashion, but I’ll always create my own version. - I love all of the fashionable goth styles, as long as it’s different, stylish and dark. And I don’t mean black when I say dark, it can even be white or baby blue. I won’t exclude any style. I always find a way of making it my own. Dislikes: - people who are drunk, sometimes they become annoying. -sluts, I like it when people keep their dignity, though that doesn’t mean they should be prudish. You can look and act sexual in a stylish way. - I both like and dislike arrogance. I think it’s healthy to feel good about yourself and show it to the world, and if your self confidence makes others feel bad, well then to bad for them. But I don’t like it when others feel they are better then some, I hate to see people get hurt by others, I have experienced it myself. Luckily I only pitied those looking down upon me, I think they were just jealous because I wasn’t scared to be myself. But I guess it did hurt me at times. - not having enough time or energy to do everything I want to do. - the prospect of dying and getting older, I wish I could be young forever. - and ofcourse I hate animal abuse, even things such as a caged bird makes me angry, but I'm not an animal lover, the only pet I would ever consider is a cat, because a cat can go it's own way around the house. - Mankind, we're a virus to the earth. And yes sometimes I do hate myself for taking part in destroying the earth.
