BIOGRAPHY

Front 242 was created in 1981 in Aarschot, Belgium by Daniel Bresanutti and Dirk Bergen, who wanted to create music and graphic design using emerging electronic tools. The initial name of Prothese was changed to Front 242 because it had greater potential as a subject of graphic design. The first single, Principles, was released late in 1981.

After a long period with Pias and a short signing time with XIIIbis, the band is now part of the growing Alfa Matrix label where they also signed their project Male Or Female next to the 32Crash project headed by Jean-Luc Demeyer.
