~On Christmas Day I got officially engaged to Kyle, but he ended it on February 21th after telling me about an affair he had and that he's leaving me for her.

~I plan on going to UMSL in the fall to double major in Psychology and Art. I haven't decided if I'm going to become an art therapist or just get a degree in psychology to be a social worker or therapist.

~I live with my grandparents because I want to go to the school here and my mom likes to live in more dominantly white areas (I tend to like the diversity around here... people aren't snobby and extremely judgemental)

~I have been diagnosed with a major anxiety disorder but ever since I haven't been with Kyle I haven't had an anxiety attack even once. So, I guess you can conclude that the anxiety was caused by my ex and I'm definately better off without him in my life.

~I love watching movies, problem is I've already seen all the good movies at blockbuster so I have to wait for new releases =[

~I listen to all different kinds of music, mainly Rap and R&B... I listen to music for meaning behind it and lyrics so I don't like to be judged on the type of music I listen to.

~Everyone sees me as a quiet person but little do they know that when you get to know me I can be very talkative. At first im shy but after gettin used to you I open up and apparently im a pretty cool person (thats what im told lol)

Wanna know my opinion?

Abortion: I used to think that if a girl gets raped or will die from having a child then she has the right to have an abortion if she wants to. Then I thought about it. There is always a way to handle a situation even if a girl is raped or will die from having the child. Obviously, there is adoption after the child is born. It's not the child's fault that their mother got raped and conceived them. The girl should seriously consider putting the child up for adoption after it is born because there are plenty of people out there who can't have children but have always wanted one. When it comes to someone dying because of giving birth, there is still another way. They can either get a c-section or transfer the child into someone else who can carry the child and have it for them. It's still their child even though it will be carried by another person. When it comes to abortion I feel very strongly about encouraging people to keep it. Others may disagree with me but that is just what I think is right.

Drugs: I used to be one of those people who did drugs and went out partying every chance I got. Now that I see what it has done to my life and to people around me, I have a different opinion. I'm now against drugs and smoking because when I was on drugs I lost complete control of my decisions. Another reason I'm against drugs is because they change people and make them not care about anything except doing drugs. My father doesn't care about me because he's too busy doing drugs and my ex's put me on the back burner so they could go out and get high. Coming off of drugs people started having anxiety and still don't care about a lot of important things. I experience the anxiety first hand, trust me it's not fun. Medications may not be illegal but can do the same amount of harm as street drugs. Yeah, some medications can be helpful to certain people but doctors are too quick to prescribe medications to people who may not need them. Anti-depressants don't work on a lot of people and sometimes even make people suicidal when they weren't in the first place. Ever notice on tv when they're saying the side effects they read them really fast hoping no one will catch it but when you listen most of them say "may cause heart problems or stroke." Who would want to take a medicine that could possibly cause you to die. I'm against medicines because most of the time people can go without the meds they are given as long as they eat healthy and excercise.

Capital Punishment: My view on capital punishment may be a little harsh. I don't think that murderers and rapists should be let off so easy by being put to death. If they killed another human being then I think they should have to suffer the rest of their life locked in a jail cell with no communication to the outside world. I know that it cost money to keep someone in jail but what are they getting if they're put to death? They're getting freedom from the punishment they should be facing. Personally, I think it's worth paying to keep someone locked in a jail cell for the rest of their life so they pay for what they did to their victims.

Censorship:I have mixed feelings when it comes to censorship. Trying to think about my opinion of censorship makes me think about how I would feel if my children were watching something that was uncensored with nudity and cussing all over. I came to the conclusion that I don't think that important things that shouldn't be sugar coated or censored should be left uncensored, such as the news. The news is educating and shouldn't have any censorship in it because everyone needs to see the truth about what is going on in our world. On the other hand, movies involving gangs or stupid things like that I do think should be censored because the nudity and cussing in those types of movies isn't something that anyone should think is okay to do. When it's uncensored and children and/or adolescents see the violence, cussing and nudity they think it's okay to act the same way the people in the movies are acting. So my opinion on censorship is different depending on the situation.

Teen Pregnancy: I don't have a huge problem with teen pregnancy because I have many friends who are either pregnant or already have kids. One of my friends has twins. I do think that teens should take more precautions when having sex so they don't end up pregnant. I don't know of one teen who is ready to raise a child because they don't have enough money and they're still living in their parents home. The number one priority as a teen should be to be successful in school and to get a part time job, it shouldn't be raising a child but for a lot of teens it is. I don't think that teens make the best parents because at this time in their life they are focused on hanging out with their friends and they're still in school so they don't have that much time to spend time with their child like they should. Instead, they make their parents watch their child while they're out at school or at a party. That causes the child to pull away from the parent and get more attched to the grandparent. That's what happened to me because my mom have me at 19 and was too busy partying all the time so I got attached to my grandparents. More and more teens are getting pregnant and having kids these days and I just wish they would wear a condom, take bitrth control pills and be careful. Raising a child takes a lot of time and a teenager doesn't have a lot of it after school and work.
