About Me
Conjured up from the inspired mind of singer/songwriter Enzo Sprigg comes the romantic, dynamic music project "Enzo and the Tendrils". Driven for his love of classic alternative bands like Depeche Mode, Echo and the Bunny men, Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus as well as new acts such as Placebo, Interpol and I AM X, Enzo set out to create a sound that fused timeless acts with the current alternative approach combined with something all his own. The result is a sound that drips with originality, sensuality and a tragic edge. "I love writing about relationships and the struggles therein." Enzo states. "This and the overall human condition are timeless themes that provide the meat of all my lyrics. Beyond the surface, love is very complex and I find that endlessly inspiring. I also miss hearing a sense of romance in music and that's one of the themes that I feel is original to my approach with the Tendrils, writing about love in a way that seems honest but not silly or one dimensional." Enzo comprises all members of the band by writing, playing, producing and singing all the material himself.
Influences
Bauhaus, Bowie, Orgy, Siouxsie and The Banshees, And One, I am X, Placebo, Depeche Mode, Bjork, The Smiths, Sneaker Pimps, Interpol, vintage crooners of the 1920s and 30s, Ray Noble, Gary Numan, Berlin, Saint Eve, Laurie Anderson and of course Sisters of Mercy.
